"Amazing spot to relax"

10.0

I love the location, the view from the balcony also food was amazing. The people were extremely welcoming, the servers attention was great, even the owner was there and was super friendly and awesome. The best was that the place is extremely relax and that was what I looked for in this vacation.

The only thing they could improve is the shower cleaning since there where mold spots and the odor of the room, it smelled like humidity at first.

"Did not stay. Booked another hotel did not stay there. Waiting for my refund"

Nothing

Didn’t like the location. Place was old and out of date. Balcony had to be shared with something that looks like a shower curtain. Decor is old.

"View of the ocean from every room"

8.0

OVERALL: This is what I would consider a 3-star hotel. The view was fabulous as each room has a sliding door to the ocean and you can hear the waves. All of the kitchenette rooms are on the first floor. The 2nd floor rooms had a mini-fridge and microwave. The staff was helpful and friendly. DETAILS: The pool is about 4 1/2 feet deep overall with no shallow water. The waterfront is rocky, fun to explore during low tide, but there is no ocean swimming. Our room had a window and half of the sliding door glass was foggy, between the panes of glass and needed to be replaced. The same was true for a couple other rooms we saw. But this didn't bother us, because we had the door open mostly. The sliding glass door screen was hard to slide. The partition between the patio or balcony was private and provided private. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor. The restaurant is owned separately and has just gone under new ownership. The food was good, and the bar drinks were great. Nothing is within walking distance except the Green Cay Marina. You can get around without a car by using a taxi and/or VIHail (like Uber/Lyft), but it is expensive. For example $30/2 to get from the airport to the resort. Additional persons might be charged $30 each. Check the price BEFORE getting in the vehicle. Although the taxi rates are standardized, that's not what is always charged. Waiting for a taxi or ride-share was normal. RECOMMENDATIONS: Take cash. Go to St. Croix knowing that "island time" is the term to use for most things. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere because most things appear hap-hazard. Upon check-in we were told that the room would be cleaned every 3 days. This did not happen, so we just asked for fresh towels. We did not mention it to front desk until we left. Driving is on the left, with the steering wheel on the left also.

"A wonderful location to spend a week."

7.0

The Deep End Bar and Grill served a nice breakfast. Activities were held on Thursday and Friday evenings. Bartenders and servers were wonderful. The location of the resort was golden, so beautiful, all rooms look out over the water. Housekeeping , Alta, was helpful making sure we had plenty of towels and a clean room. The towels were big and soft, and the bed was very comfortable. Also liked the shampoo, conditioner, and soap available in dispensers.

The resort itself is a bit run down and could use some updating. Only had ice available from the machine the first day and then it didn't work. No use of water equipment, kayak's etc..,as was advertised on website. Originally we were given probably the most rundown room. That we did complain about and they did upgrade us to a better room. Locks should be on screen doors .

"Meh. 🫤 suggest rating pros and cons of other places. Hindsight we wish we would have found an Airbnb type place."

5.0

Beautiful location on the beach

The facilities are dated and showing lots of wear, I understand that happens near the ocean and certain things are expected. However, bed frames with dangling lights falling off bed frame, mattresses showing discoloration, door frames with wider than finger gaps, sliding doors not on tracks, stains on counter tops, and paint stains on furniture is a lowering the experience. We had an issue with the coffee maker not working properly, and to clean the mess, I used a wash cloth. A very normal thing to do in a hotel room, however we received a phone call from front desk stating “we will charge you $10 for the washcloth because using a white rag is not what you do. You should have called for housekeeping.” When i explained that calling for housekeeping seemed unnecessary, I was berated for thinking a white rag was a good choice. 🤷‍♀️. Housekeeping is to be done every 3 days, on the 5th day we had to request a cleaning for trash and towels. Instead of acknowledging the need, the front desk staff told us our privacy door tag was on the door on the 4th day. It wasn’t, I know this because the door tag fell off the first day and we just kept it on the counter out the way. This place has potential, but it really is a 3 star experience. Not bad, it is safe, the location on the water is great, but much of the facility and the staff is just okay.
