Hotel is very eco-friendly, clean and modern.

Would not stay here again. One hour wait for breakfast and parking not available (as was advertised). Hotel is tired and not up to Pullman standards.

Expensive run down hotel with poor service. - Old rooms with panels coming off the walls - Worn out carpet and bathrooms. Vanities and toilet are scratched and stained. - No fan in the bathroom so have to keep the door open for any chance of using the mirror. - Air con unit dripping on the carpet but struggling to keep the room cool - Only one operational lift for months to come. Allow 10 minutes for it. - Breakfast is $42. - Hotel facilities are in the building next door which isn't normally an issue but with only one lift working, it's pretty bad. - Tried addressing some of the issues with the reception staff but the phone rings. - When speaking to staff in person, they are clearly exhausted from all the issues and ultimately can't fix anything. With so many great hotels and apartments in Brisbane, this one isn't worth your money.

A really well located hotel with restaurant and rooftop bar. Was very busy because of a concert in town. Much confusion about parking a car park was full. Also confusion as booking system had double booked many rooms so got a no show email (was quickly resolved).

We had a balcony room. There were weeds all around the perimeter of the balcony. Some weeds were 2 foot high so obviously neglected for some time. There was some mildew on the wall of the balcony And the neighbour smoked so it made it very difficult for us to use the balcony A pity as we paid extra to have the balcony. Room was fine and bed very comfortable. Just very disappointed with the state of the balcony.

Good hotel, but shared most things with Mercure at same location (as far as I know, pool, gym, restaurant, car park). I guess the only difference is then the room, but I haven't seen Mercure's rooms. Otherwise the service has been great for us.

Stayed in a deluxe twin room for 2 nights to do some exploring around Brisbane. Friendly greeting at reception and was allocated a room on the 11th floor with an inner courtyard view that was able for earlier checkin. A large checkin area with seating and a piano near one of the lift areas. Was advised of the facilities and that the breakfast area was temporary relocated as the restaurant was undergoing a refurbishment. The room was spacious but as other reviewers have alluded to rooms may be ready for some soft refurbishment along with some of the facilities. Bathroom was shower over bath as is usual with a lot of older hotels double hand basins with amenities including hairdryer. Absent was bathrobes that you could normally attribute to a five star hotel but maybe they are available on request. Plentiful supply of towels, including hand towels and face washers. Noticeably absent in the bathroom was an exhaust fan just the usual small vent as is common in older hotels The room itself had a bar fridge with drinks and snacks located close by on a shelf with price list. The room had a small electronic safe, iron and ironing board and cupboard with coat hangers and a few drawers. A separate luggage stand (foldable) was also in the room for luggage. Plenty of power points and lights and lamps including a writing area bench) with phone and office chair and a separate leather lounge chair and large round coffee table. The leather chair had visible mark/stain on the seat. The bedding including pillows were extremely comfortable and bedside tables and lamp with a phone on one bedside table. Individual air condtioning control panel on the wall and a mid size smart television viewable from both beds. The rooftop pool , bar and gym area are located in the section of the hotel that is the Mercure Hotel and involved catching a few different lifts and walking through an open corridor and some doorways. Utilised the rooftop pool for a swim and a small cabana area in the morning. Noticeably the towels appear to be the same as a bathroom towel and not a pool/beach towel. Later that evening attended the rooftop bar to utilise welcome drinks and purchase a meal that was a delicious pizza and a few more drinks. A gym is also located in area of the hotel near the pool but did not visit the gym. There is also a coffee shop in the combined Accor Mercure/Pullman hotel complex accessible from the street and the coffee purchased from there was good. Did not avail of the breakfast available at the hotel. The hotels five star rating comes from the service and amenities on offer however based on my observations it is more 4 to 4.5 star based on the deluxe twin room I was staying in and the amenities I used and observed. The service from the staff, including housekeeping however was excellent. Would certainly stay here again due to the excellent location to public transport (Roma St Station) and city buses and River Cat (catamarans/ferries) that make an enjoyable trip on the river to restaurants and local sites.

We arrived in Brisbane a few days before Christmas from the UK for the first time. Combined with the Christmas atmosphere the hotel was amazing. Very accessible to the Queen Street shopping area, Southbank and King George’s Square itself was central and well decked out in decorations which was great at night with the festive lasers beamed onto the Town Hall building. The hotel itself had a large reception area, breakfast in Goldfinch Restaurant was impressive in a good setting and children enjoying swimming in the small rooftop pool. Could have done with more bottled water in the bedroom but the room was comfortable. Generous parking across us road. All in all, a good hotel to stay in and the staff were polite and professional. Would definitely recommend. Got us off to a great start to a memorable holiday in Oz and our next stop in the Gold Coast!
