Beautiful location - beach is spectacular - long walk to town

As I said in a previous review, the family that owns and operates this property are fantastic! It’s older and could probably use some updating, but then again, it is very affordable because it’s older. But it is very clean and well maintained and the location allows for easy access to the historical center. It is close to the train tracks but keep the doors closed and it won’t be an issue. I came back to Tarragona after a stay here and chose it again. It is lovely to stay in a small family owned hotel!

The view is excellent of the beach and the ocean! The hotel is older but SUPER clean and tidy and most importantly, the family that owns the property is incredibly nice, helpful and friendly! I It isn't "fancy" but the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is just fine and if you get a room with a balcony, you can enjoy the view while sipping coffee and/or wine. There is train tracks below the hotel so if you have the windows open to hear the ocean, you will occasionally hear the trains too. It didn't bother me at all! But if it would bother you, close the window and you won't hear it! Stay at the Hotel Sant Jordi! It is "old school" in all of the RIGHT WAYS!

We had a beautiful room with an ocean-view balcony, the room bathroom and hotel overall were extremely clean! The owner, and the host who was in the restaurant named Domingo has been with the hotel for 40 years! It was so pleasant and far enough out of town that the only noise we really heard was the bullet train whose tracks were below us and across the street! For a train track was relatively quiet! The price was extremely reasonable and although the hotel is older it is very beautiful and we would highly recommend it! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We had an excellent two day stay in this hotel at the end of October. The weather was not very good, so we were unable to take advantage of the beach location. However, thanks to the bus stop very close to the hotel, we still managed to get into Tarragona and take the hop on / hop off bus tour which was very interesting and good value at €7 per person for an all day ticket. There is a small beach close to the hotel, and another larger one with two beach bars which we enjoyed a couple of meals. There is railway line around 100 metres away which passes the hotel and the beach, but this did not trouble us. Jose on the front desk was extremely helpful, and answered all our questions with patience. There is a nice little bar, and the breakfast was good. The car parking was free in the attached hotel car park. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Love this hotel! Location, location, location! View, view, view! The people who work there are also super-nice. :-) A nice balcony with views of the sea. What could be better? Breakfast, if you choose to partake, is ample enough for any appetite. Rooms are comfortable and there is a safe provided in the closet! Oh... the hotel is not brand new. The elevator tends to stop a few inches off-level with the floors... but those are minor points. I will be back again soon!

View was beautiful. Location to town was too far. No easy access to town for later at night.
