Guyers House Hotel

The hotel is located on beautiful grounds with fascinating, well looked after garden in the countryside. The atmosphere is so peaceful and tranquil, hardly any sound of traffic. The room was nice, although a bit tired, very comfortable bed, but bathroom is in need of some upgrade. Restaurant in the main building served lovely breakfast with pleasant views over the gardens. Overall we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back.

Absolutely awful stay. Most of the drinks were unavailable, the room was filthy and extremely dated, dead flies, evening food was terrible, money incorrectly taken out of account and struggled to get it back. Very unhelpful Manager who was more interested in telling her side and not listening

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The dust, dirt, rust, mould, uncontrollable heating, rotting wood, old dirty bed and headboard were the second worst part. The worst bit was the smell. By the way…I paid £10 for an upgrade - so this wasn’t even what they considered the worst room. Due to the smell I searched long and hard for bedbugs and did not find any (which was very surprising). The White Hart Ford was excellent and offered me a lovely room (for the same price) which I could’ve moved to at any point in the night but I decided not to as I would not get a refund from Guyers.

It had gorgeous gardens, friendly, helpful staff, comfortable bed, good cupboard space. I recommend the Eggs Royale for breakfast - very yummy = eggs benedict with smoked salmon.

Quality buiding ang grounds well maintained. V accessible but quiet. Professional staff

The waitress was rude and had quite a bad attitude, we're normal friendly people and she was just rude, it just seemed she had not been taught that the customer is always right. I asked for extra coffee and fresh milk for our room and , it seemed to me that, with very bad grace, she brought us just two sachets, it just seemed she'd rather not be there

Absolutely beautiful grounds and gardens . Even saw some baby deer in the garden. Magnificent property

Beautiful grounds and historical building. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast well cooked and hot when served. Overall a pleasant stay

Lovely old manor house but due to the late arrival and being dark could not enjoy what would have been a really nice garden and surrounding area. Good food in the restaurant, though £4.50 for a bottle of still water seemed excessive but everything else was good. Polite friendly staff, and would stay there again and hopefully enjoy the grounds and gardens next time.
