Bellstar Suites at Solara Resort

I was supposed to get a text message or email at 4pm yesterday regarding check in, and it arrived at 4:40. I had to drive to another hotel to talk to staff directly (since no one answered the phone). Very disappointed. Also feel that the cleaning fee was a hidden charge and not clearly outlined in the price. Disappointed with my experience. Bathtub was dirty.

Unit had everything we needed, lots of storage space, towels, dishes etc. Very comfortable beds. Great location.

Found checkin procedure a bit difficult as am not used to digital check-in and no one at reception desk to help. Eventually a phone call to help-desk successful

I find it amazing that theres living room. Patio. Kitchen and laundry.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy condo with an amazing mountain view. The place was warm, comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. Everything you might need was provided, which made our stay very easy and relaxing. The check-in app and overall process were extremely smooth and very didactic—clear instructions and no stress at all, both for check-in and check-out. Overall, a lovely place to stay in Canmore with beautiful views, great comfort, and an easy, well-organized process. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The only pool access from our building was going down till the parkade and after you had to walk through the parking lot and get in from there. Definitely not a good experience regarding this aspect and it was not mentioned at the booking process.

Location was good and “premium suite” was great

-Less an $25/night price difference between the premium and mountain view room but the quality of room difference was significant. The mountain was significantly overpriced in our opinion. - both suites only had 1 roll of toilet paper (no extra) and 3 garbage/recycling bags, this was an issue as we stayed for 4 days and had to go purchase some - booked two suites together and they were in different buildings. The staff said I should have phoned before to confirm they were together (but I booked them together?). Initially said she couldn’t do anything because we booked through bookings.com, but then said she just couldn’t do anything as everything else was booked. -the gym is a 3rd party access with weird hours, unfortunately not like a standard hotel gym so unable to access with stat holidays.

My wife and I have booked annual stays at Solara for a few years now and have always enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and spacious and we like the available, on-stite amenities.

I wasn't impressed to learn about the extra $135 cleaning fee when I booked our room, and no housekeeping offered during our 4-day stay. Not a fan of the less for more idea, especially when we're already spending $1,000 to stay here.
