Papanui Court Motel

Spacious room with all cooking utensils needed. Lovely breakfast provided each morning and friendly staff

We arrived in New Zealand very late at night, to heavy rain as the plane taxied in. I had booked Papanui Court before leaving Australia. On arrival (thankfully rain had stopped) there was a note on the office door from Shirley, with an umbrella hanging on the door handle. Our unit was welcoming, warm and inviting. She had left the key in the door, lights and heater on. It was lovely. The room was very nice, king size bed in a separate room, single bed in the combined lounge and kitchen area and a separate bathroom. It had everything we required. Although the premises is not new, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Arriving late at night (11.45pm) meant we were unable to preorder our breakfast but we were offered a warm ham, egg and hash brown sandwich each with two glasses of apple juice. This was extremely nice, very fresh and very welcome as we then did not have to go out and find breakfast. We only stayed the one night but we were very happy with everything.

Everything was good except the breakfast is not an English breakfast. We were served a warm double decker sandwich of egg and ham on one side and hashbrown, potato, and ketchup on the other. It was split in two so really we got half a sandwich apiece. Was not really good or filling. The orange juice was more of an orange drink. The apple jyice was good.

Clean & comfy room, loved my spa bath...hot water plus. Free breakfast, my grandson loved the scrambled egg . So close to bus stop, mall & very walkable. Excellent & very pleasant & helpful staff. Would recommend to others

Enjoyable stay well catered for, only downside room on busy main road!

The room/apartment was good and in good conditions. The room was overall clean and pretty. Fine motel for the price. We were disappointing about some of the things that was included in the price. 1st: The breakfast time was limited to a specific time - And we were going to the airport before this, and there were no information about this on hotels.com. The breakfast that was free, is not what they advertise with on the picture in hotels.com. You have to pay extra for that. 2nd: Free WiFi means "limited free WiFi" only 1GB pr device. We would have expected this to be written onto hotels.com.

Theonly way I can fault this accommodation is that the curtains were way too thin. Everything else is spot on for the money. Great location out of town... Can't really fault otherwise. Large Room. No hob, just microwave.

We recently spent a number of days at the Papanui Court Motel. The hosts were so helpful and helped out whenever we asked. The facilities were excellent, clean and serviced daily. The unit we were in had fridge, hob and microwave. For the teenagers there is free WiFi when in the motel. You have acess to free laundry services which is great if you there for a few days. The location is a short walk to Northlands and all the bus services for acess to the city or malls. Highly recommend accommodation.

Our first time to Christchurch and Shirley was awwsum with helping me organise a surprise dinner at a lovely restaurant. Great staff

A top quality stay. Wonderful hosts. Will definitely stay there again.
