El Silencio Lodge and Spa

The staff and accommodations were like being cradled in a loving mother{s arms. The food felt like a whole new experience. You could taste the freshness and the love and care that went into each preparation. Fresh squeezed pineapple juice with in'house grown spearment at our complimentary breakfast. Yum!

Good hotel. Relaxing. A lot of activities available. Limited dining options. Good for 2 or 3 day stay.

Cesar, Benicio, Sergio, Sergio the horseman and Orlando made an awesome experience. Each unit has an amazing rainforest view and as each afternoon rainstorm comes through, this makes for a very romantic setting with a huge plateglass window at the toe of the bed. We did all the hikes including the challenging twin falls hike and shorter loops around the property. Take Benicio on the day hikes and also as your equeatruan guide. The horses are very well trained and extremely well-cared for and feed them a little pina and yiu will make their day. There is nothing about this place i would change. The restaurant cuisines will blow you away as well.... top shelf. This was my fiurth eco trip to costa rica and I appreciated the pace and sheer relaxation here.

The staff of this wonderful lodge were so warm and welcoming! All of our needs were quickly attends too. We ate in the beautiful dining room and every meal was fantastic. We appreciated the well trained wait staff, presentation of the food, the gourmet menu selections as well as the extensive wine list.....We enjoyed all the activities booked through resort. The activities staff at the stables were wonderful and we had an amazing riding adventure going through rivers and along wild green fields! We also booked the market/cooking class with the eco concierge and had so much fun as he narrated stories of the old village and his experiences growing up locally. The resort is deep in a valley that's accessible by a narrow old road. You feel that you're truly entering another world. The seclusion and serenity was so restoring and yet the little local village was a 15 min away by foot path. The rain makes everything so verdant and clean! All night long you hear the rush of the river that outlines one edge of the property. Wonderful memories were made at el silencio!

Very nice rooms, central sala and spa. Lots of nice trails to do around the lodge. Great to just get away from it all

We spent 4 nights at El Silencio, from the welcome greeting to the last day the service was exceptional, we couldn't fault it. The was deliciousn and beautifully presented! We had a wonderful time and if highly recommend this hotel. Tip: Don't forget your walking boots (normal trainers won't suffice) and a jumper for the evenings as it gets a little colder.

Tucked into the Cloud Forest, I felt so comfortable and cared for. The trail to the three waterfalls was full of wonders. Moss covered steps, large fiddlehead ferns, rushing water! The staff was helpful, the food fresh and local and nicely presented. The butterfly garden an extra surprise. And, our private hot tub for chilly nights!

El Silencio is very tucked away, but is worth the drive. It is a beautiful resort and beautiful part of the country. The service was outstanding and food exceptional. I do highly recommend El Silencio! The grounds are lovely with plenty of activities, great food and a wonderful spa. All the employees seem to be passionate about their craft, which really elevates the experience.

This is an absolutely spectacular place. So peaceful and calm. The food is some of the best ive ever had and the staff is so lovely. Go here. It's like a retreat experience that is so wonderful.

Beautiful cabins with jacuzzi and unbelievable views. Great food and the best service. Activities on site were awesome. Highly recommend horseback riding. I can't wait to go back.
