Staff was very friendly and very accommodating

The furniture needs to be replaced or severely cleaned. The sleep sofa was so dirty that I didn't feel comfortable sitting on it The furniture in breakfast area was also very dirty and stained. Definitely needs attention. Our room was above the pool so my room had a musty smell.

"Property could use better maintenance "

My basic requirements for a hotel stay are quiet and a hot shower. Both requirements were met. Breakfast was pretty standard for Hampton Inn. Bed and room furniture were fine. The problems were minor maintenance issues - screws sticking out of a poorly aligned door frame, perhaps mold around fire suppression system... (photos attached) I have stayed here before and probably will again.

We were greeted by a very friendly desk agent. We then entered our room to find it squeaking clean. The only drawback was that the breakfast was awful. But we weren’t there for breakfast. Highly recommended.

"Skip it if you can"

Dated, musty, and a bit worse for wear. I’ve been in hundreds of hotel rooms and this was sadly on the lower end of my experiences. There are some great Hampton’s out there—this is not one. That said, it is Muscatine, so I guess it’s in keeping with the local amenities, but next time I’m staying in Iowa City.
