CAThis was the second time at the property. Rooms are relatively big for Japanese standard. The included ski lockers are amazing. The resort itself is nice and well stocked with everything you need. The luggage delivery service is great, the staff is so so helpful, the included breakfast is okay.
It’s definitely old. The rooms have an old style, the shower goes from hot to cold very quickly and randomly. Rooms can be quite humid. I would say the rooms are due for an update, considering the price of a room per nights. $70 per person for a buffet dinner is a bit expensive, but everything in the resort is expensive.
AUThis hotel (and the surrounds) provided an authentic Japanese ski resort experience. It was simply perfect. Everything about the hotel was enchanting! It's massive and self-contained! It has everything you need. I used the hotel gym and the gym is high end with new equipment and free weights, even a separate room that can be utilised for stretching/mobility or classes- there's pilates reformer machines and cardio machines. Great space! The staff were great! The locker system was great for storing my snowboard - so convenient and great for ski in/out accommodation. I ate out at a few of the restaurants and the food was delicious! Highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing. Rusutsu is one of my fav ski resorts globally. The Rusutsu Hotel is simply perfect!

You know that feeling when you arrive at a place and are surprised that it's better than expected? We had the opposite. Great location but just completely outdated and a horrid value / price ratio.
