"Charming and friendly hotel in a great location"

8.0

Excellent hotel; I'd stay there again. Brilliant central location within walking distance of everything, not too noisy, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a clean and well-kept room. The place just had a friendly feeling - created by the charming staff, the beach mats by the door for anyone to borrow, and the fact they kept our luggage for our last day in Nice, and then provided a washroom where we could change into our "travel clothes" before heading to the airport. The only downside was that the room was really quite small, but considering the price it was very good value. Our room came with a double bed that we could easily convert into a sofa, a 2-burner hob, a fridge, and some kitchen essentials - just enough so we could have a breakfasts and a cup of tea in the afternoon The bed was nothing special, but still comfortable. As we spent most of our time outside of the room exploring the city or at the beach, the price and location made our room a perfect choice. This hotel will suit any couples, students or any travellers who are looking for a simple, friendly and well-located base from which to explore Nice and the Cote d'Azur.

"Remember the name (PETIT)"

4.0

It is small small SMALL.. The man who owns it is super nice. Price is great. Rooms suck. Small and also, they give you a small packet of soap to wash with and it is the same soap you are supposed to use to clean your hair with too. Beds are small than my kitchen table,, bathroom is bigger than the bedroom, noisy housekeeping, and if you dont speak French, the language barrier will be a huge issue. I really liked the owner though. Very nice guy indeed. Would I stay here again? Nope...

"Fantastic Montmartre location - good service!"

8.0

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised at how small my room was, but even it being as small as it was, it was still a comfortable enough of a stay. The decor was nice and modernized, and we had daily maid-service as well as getting the breakfast buffet and lunchbox was a nice touch as well! Really enjoyed that. I did have just a couple of problems -- the curtain was kinda broken and wouldn't close all the way - I had to pin it together with a bobby pin, which apparently didn't cause any worry or embarrassment for the maids who saw this and I would assume would want to either get someone to fix it or report it. The other issue I had was that the bathroom door didn't even close all the way! If I had a guest over, for example, it would have been a bit awkward to use the facilities. Other than that, it was a good solid stay and I really enjoyed the location!

"Very helpful staff"

10.0

This hotel might not be the most expensive but the staff was so helpful and friendly that amond the usual rudeness of the french it really stands out.I strongly reccomend this hotel to everyone.

"Nice 2012"

6.0

We booked the hotel very last minute. It's location was great, just off the main shopping strip. It was beside a Monoprix which was great also. It was a little self-catering which was reallt hany. Fridge, microwave and a two ring hob! We only stayed two nights and for that it was great. To say it was'compact' is a bit of an understatement! You couldn't swing a cat in the room. We couldn't have stayed there for more than two nights. However, free wifi and a great location, so for a last minute booking it was a great result.

"Nice little hotel"

8.0

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful in giving directions. The hotel is also in a great location close to the train station and only 15-20mins walk from the beach. The only slight downside was that you don't get house keeping everyday and it states that you get amenities, however you're only provided with a satchet of body wash which is not refilled if used up as there is no daily housekeeping. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

"Backpacker hotel...not a family hotel"

4.0

The rooms were incredibly small. The beds were not real beds, they were a hard matress on some type of cheap stand. The bed was the room. On the positive side it had an airconditioner which worked. The internet did not, only sparatically and only one person at a time per room. It is typical European backpacker room but by US standards it would be shutdown. There was construction on the corner by the hotel and you could not sleep past 7 in the morning. I would stay there if single or on an extreme budget, but never again with kids...actually...never again!

"Oh please install a shower screen"

4.0

The strategic location of the hotel with easy reach to the "One Euro Buses" etc was really good. The room we were in was clean. But these two are about the only pluses..... I was on the futon bed which was very uncomfortable and my friend who was on the double bed did not think much of it either as both of us woke up every morning with sore backs. The owners should be thinking of investing in a shower screen and a slightly bigger shower tray becauae the shower curtain was absolutely disgusting!!! As the shower tray is so small, the shower curtain keeps sticking on my body when showering. I had to still keep the shower curtain inside the small shower tray to prevent the bathroom form flooding. Morevoer, there was nothing to clip the shower head on. Having to hold the shower head all the time when showering made it so inconvenient to have a shower, never mind even thinking of getting your hair washed. To make a cup of tea, we had to boil water in a saucepan as there was not even a kettle to boil water in. The fridge and the floor unit should be swapped around as we couldnt open the fridge door as the legs of the so-called breakfast bar prevented the fridge door opening. With the price they are charging, there should have been a TV in the room. The WIFI connection quite ok at times.
