"Friendly and helpful hotel."

8.0

Location excellent for shops, train, old town, access to bus for airport. V quiet street. No noise in hotel at all. Room was small as expected but facilities good with bathroom, sink, cooker adn microwave. No TV but in Nice you do not need a TV. Main plus point about this hotel which has been mentioned before is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. There was no problem with storing our large cases until we departed later that evening. I would go back to this hotel for all the reasons mentioned above.

"Hidden gem"

8.0

Stayed for 3 nights during the F1 Monaco race and it was a fabulous and comforting stay. The hotel is located an 8 minute walk from Nice's main train station just off the main tram line. Free wifi was a bonus and the signal was strong. Got a corner room that sleeps 3 (one double and a single bed already in the room) with a little kitchenette complete with a microwave oven. The attached bathroom was huge which included the toilet, standing shower and a single basin with a rack to keep your toiletries (Only towels are provided). Only gripe is that the shower curtain was fastened too close to the shower head.

"Pleasantly Surprised!"

10.0

I thought the Petit Louvre would just be another little hotel near the train station, but it was actually literally around the corner from the Notre-Dame Cathedrale and a huge shopping center, and only a seven minute walk to the beach. The room was pretty large for a single and the stocked kitchen finally allowed me to do my own cooking after six months of mostly take-out. And, although it was right next to a huge tourist/shopping area, I actually couldn't hear much of the noise from out on the street. The surrounding area was well light and as a young female traveler alone in Nice, I did feel safe walking around later at night. Finally, the price was fantastic. I paid only about ten euro more for a private room with bathroom ensuite and a kitchen and fridge than I would have paid for just a bed in a ten bed room at any of the hostels in nice. I would most definitely recommend this hotel!

"Good hotel"

8.0

Couldn't ask anything more for the price I paid. Clean and comfortable rooms. Refrigerator, microwave, electric stove and utensils were provided for my use(they were present before I checked in). But I was a solo traveler so cann't comment on other rooms. The bed could have been a tad bigger, not that I had a problem with what I was provided with. The hotel is 10 minutes from the Nice station, but the lane is a bit dirty, where the hotel is located i.e. dog poo lying everywhere. Nice municipality doesn't clean their roads properly. But that isn't the hotel's fault. The shower could have been a tad better, glass covered rather than the shower curtains on 2 sides, makes it very difficult not to spill water.

Very good ratio qulity/price. Appropriate for young people. For older people, the comfort is not quite OK. Space very limited.

"Good budget choice, excellent location"

8.0

It is important to understand that this is more like an apartment building than a hotel. There is no restaurant and the front desk is only open at certain times (10am to 3pm, and 19:30pm to 11:30pm). Not really a problem, but personally I like the reassurance that a 24 hour reception desk brings. For example what would happen if my key card stopped working at midnight?! If you need to check in outside the reception times the hotel seems very good about accommodating that. In my case it was a few hours before they were due to open, but they emailed to ask when I would arrive and then made sure somebody was there to meet me. The receptionist was very friendly, giving me a map and carrying my bag up to the room. My room was very small, but had a clean fresh feel. I liked the original window shutters (very typically French) and was generally pleased with the room. You feel like you are staying in a traditional building which I liked. The large fridge was very useful to keep drinks cool, but I did not try the microwave or hot plates. Its worth noting that there is a large Monoprix supermarket near the hotel so very easy to stock up on supplies. WiFi worked well, but to get the best signal I had to sit near the door. I think this was because my room was at the end of the corridor. The only real disappointment was the lack of toiletries in the bathroom (just 2 small shampoo sachets and no hand soap). Also room cleaning surcharge is annoying.

"Smallest room I have ever slept in"

4.0

There was about 20 cm space between the mattress (on the floor) and the toilet door! There was no space at all to move around. The room was not cleaned during our 4 night stay, but they gave us toilet paper when we requested.

"Hotel or Hostel?"

2.0

You get what you pay for. Rooms are teeny tiny. Showers are size of a porto toilet. No amenities in the room. No TV, no hair dryer, no soap, no shampoo, no room to turn around. Cleaning is only once every three days. It isn't called charming it is called too small. Noisy, in fact I could hear my neighbor take a shower and flush his toilet. No telephone in the room. You can borrow reception's phone for local calls, but only for local calls and they don't work 24/7, only certain hours. I pass next time.
