Spacious accommodation and very comfortable with very friendly staff. The use of the country club facilities were a bonus

The condos are old and out of style but the are making a lot of updates. The area is beautiful and the wild life is fasanating to look at.

The facility itself was very nice. The decor is a bit outdated and worn, but not bad and overall very comfortable. Our daughter especially enjoyed the indoor pool and pool table. Our only complaint was around service. We arrived at 11:30. I knew we were early but asked anyway if it was possible to check in. I was told housekeeping was currently cleaning our condo and would be done by 2pm. No problem. We left, went out for lunch, drove around town a bit, and came back at 2:30. I was told then that housekeeping had not started cleaning our condo yet, and it wouldn't be ready until 4pm. Very annoying. I get that early check-ins aren't always possible, and that's fine. But just be straight with me about it. I didn't appreciate the apparent lies and run-around about when we would be able to check in. The other odd thing was that nobody at the desk could suggest restaurants in town for breakfast. The restaurant across the street does not serve breakfast. Just seemed strange that in such a small town with so few restaurants, a hotel front desk staff couldn't name the 2 or 3 that serve breakfast. But other than that, once we did get checked in, we had no problems and we really enjoyed our stay. We would very likely stay here again if we're in the area.

We stayed for a too brief ski weekend - we wish we could have stayed longer. The two bedroom condo unit was spacious and tidy. The layout with the bedrooms downstairs and the living area/kitchen upstairs worked well for us allowing some people to comfortably sleep in late while others woke up earlier. On our last night we built a fire in the wood burning oven and hung out in the living room surrounded by the beauty of the snowy woods. The facility is located conveniently close to great restaurants in Arnold and the trip to Bear Valley was an easy drive in beautiful scenery. Because this place is off the main highway, there was no traffic noise. I slept well each night. There is a small heated pool in the main building as well as a billiards table and DVDs and board games but we did not have enough time to do more than ski while we were there. We wish we could have stayed longer.

It sucked

We had a wonderful time staying at the resort and golfing at the Country Club! Thank you for the warm and friendly service. We really enjoyed the quiet and charming area. We'll be back for sure.

Great

The resort is nice and very close to Calveras. The indoor pool is great. A grocery store is close by so we can pick up ingredients to cook a wonderful dinner. Overall the stay is great. Lots of room for is. Has two bedrooms and two sofa bed.

We took the family here for a weekend getaway and we loved it. It was roomy which was important as we had a 2 yr old with us. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The units were well stocked and clean. The setting was beautiful, perfectly tucked into the mountains.
