Mountain Retreat Resort, a VRI resort

The staff are so friendly & kind - thanks to Sheila, Maryellen and Cherie for making my stay pleasant. The condo was so big, it was kind of big for a single person so I'll be back and bring my friends. The building architecture and design is very retro - late 70s-early 80s. The high ceilings with beams, smoked glass and brass light fixtures -- when I turned on the TV, the program that was on was "Ancient Aliens Declassified" -- all combining to make me feel like a little kid on vacation. The washer/dryer were very new and worked great. I was able to dry my towel after visiting the jacuzzi/pool area. I only wish the bath tub was slightly bigger for a nice relaxing soak in my room.

What a hidden gem! The property is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and kind and all the amenities were very very clean. Can't wait to book our next trip here.

Pool and hot tub CLOSED. This was not indicated on the Expedia site and was a big reason for booking this particular property; the indoor pool and hot tub. Supposedly, the hot tub is out of commission for the next few months. They had a nice pool table and some old DVD movies to check out, also games and foosball which was fun. Also, sleds available to check out . The property itself was like taking a step back in time, in the late 80’s early 90’s with decor. I personally thought it was neat but some people might not like that it’s outdated. Another downside was back deck could have been shoveled. The steps were very icy and slippery which could be a hazard. Personally, I think I would’ve given it five stars if the indoor pool and hot tub were working.

It was absolutely beautiful in the mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location. Close to the state park. The staff was wonderful. The room was slendid.

Staff was awesome! Furnace was located in a closet in the main bedroom and was quite noisy. Bed was soft, not a lot of support

The name of Mountain Retreat is perfect for this resort. Our stay was during a winter snow storm and it was perfect, snow covering everything, a very short distance to the local lifts and I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful property.

This was the perfect getaway spot. The kids loved the pool and spa at the clubhouse. We took advantage of the games and movies they had available to borrow. The condos were super cute and had everything we needed for our getaway.

We booked this timeshare for over Christmas is was wonderful dated but clean, 3 levels so if handicap woud be difficult, but activities are plentiful, really good location to Big Trees State park :)
