The Atrium Resort

Not a heated pool-hot tub was filthy and asked for it to be cleaned. Noted many hazards around the pool area where someone could definitely get hurt. Definitely would need a rental car. We took a taxi called by the young lady (obviously a friend) he charged us $50.00 USA dollars. Ripped off. The manager got us a preferred taxi driver for $15.00 USA dollars.

Close to the beach, but not close to much else. But the front desk was very helpful with getting a taxi.

Clean and quiet

Very nice condo complex. The good: Clean (mostly) Nice linens Great air con Comfortable beds Washer and dryer in room (2 bedroom) elevator well equipped kitchen dish washer Easy check in Nice big uncrowded pool 2 bottles of water and some tea and such provided The not so good: Not directly on beach (we knew but still it is not great) The beach nearby is doing some major construction, so we went to a little place Ricky's Flamingo Cafe) and rented chars and an umbrella for the day for $25. We really enjoyed the grouper there as well. I had fried and my husband had the curry, both very good and fresh! The place was mostly very clean but the master shower had a bunch of mold in the inner side of the trim. If not for that I would have given 5 stars.

Atrium Resort in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands We had a lot of timeshare points to use- and boy did this place cost a lot of points. About twice as expensive as the same unit would be in (for example) Sant Maarten or Aruba. The Atrium Resort was supposed to be a “5 Star” resort. I’d give it a generous 3. To start with, the gal that works the front desk seems like she doesn’t care about the patrons. Then the unit. The master bedroom does have an ensuite bath that is very nice, but the bedroom has no dresser, only the closet area. The bed is not a regular King, maybe a queen. It also is a mattress on a platform about 4 inches off the ground- which made getting in and out a struggle. The master bedroom and the bath also have a LOT of these little bugs. Like ants, but only about 1 mm long. When we asked the front desk to have someone spray the room, the response was “Go to the market and get some bug spray” ourselves. The second bedroom did have a set of shelves and hanging area- because it didn’t have a closet. That particular bed had a higher- but still low- mattress. The sleep sofa was comfortable. However, since we had 4 people, when we all ate dinner together (full kitchen was very nice), there were only 3 chairs, or 3 bar stools or a picnic table outside. Don’t put 6 people into this unit, as is the posted maximum. Pros- beach towels included, dishwasher in a great kitchen (with enough DW pellets for all week), washer-drier combo (but only 1 laundry packet) and a lovely pool and hot tub- although both need some maintenance. AC unit often needed to be reset to work, luckily we didn’t have to rely on the front desk to do this in the middle of the night. Prices are very expensive on TCI, whether at the grocery store or restaurants.

The layout of the property was ideal. The amenities were within close proximity and well maintained. The parking facilities were also great. Overall, I would definitely recommend and return if possible. My experience at the front desk was also warm and welcoming. However, my only gripe somewhat is, the stairs leading up to the reception is difficult with heavy bags. I would recommend a ramp that would help reduce the strain on customers, and would also be conscious of persons with different abilities.

A little pricey.

Property didn't have any food. A swim up pool but the bar wasn't open. Very disappointing.
