The Trouville Bournemouth

Location. Right next to the BIC

Bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast tasted very cheap.

The lady on front reception was helpful and very apologetic

The room was awful with paint all over the carpet. The headboard had greasy headmarks on it. The room felt damp, the carpet was sticky, the shower water didn't drain away so had to keep turning it off. The view was jist a load of pipes. Then to top it all off we went down for breakfast to find they weren't doing it and we had to go to another hotel, the Hermatige, which was lovely but a 10 minute walk, which was not great as my husband has mobility issues. The Trouville is under renovation but it didnt state that on the website, so there was dusty footprints all through the hotel. If I'd had an email or phone call to say what was happening then I would have booked somewhere else. It should be closed down whilst renovations were in place. We stayed 2 nights and asked for a different room after the first morning. Which they did with the help of the lovely lady on the desk. They were doing breakfast on the 2nd morning but if i'm honest it wasn't great. The food itself was not good. Everything was dusty and the waiter was walking around with his blue gloves on and a great big coat, whilst on his phone. I will definatley not stay here again. Hopefully when the renovations are complete it may be of a better standard.

Full English Breakfast was lovely. Staff were courteous, polite and helpful. Great Location for the Bournemouth International Centre, and beach area. Beds were comfortable. Shower was warm. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. Bar and dining room areas were good.

Sweet wrappers and dust round sides of room. Had to wait till 8pm for heating to come on which we felt was inadequate in winter time. No plug in the bathroom sink. Used a soap bar to hold the water in. Decor was rather tired.

The staff were nice. Breakfast was good

Our double room was very small. It was difficult to find and we had to go through a hall with paint cans on the floor.

The room was a little bit hot. But better than being cold

The hotel is really rather dated & could do with some refurbishment & the car park is unsecure & can be seen & easily accessed from the street.
