Chantillys on the Bay

Fab holiday. Very friendly people. Weather great local people very friendly, quite laid back and happy.

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff made for a pleasant stay. However, hotel a little tired and could do with a refresh and some updating. Room rather noisy due to busy road. I recommend avoiding continental breakfast offered as package on Expedia. Packaged breakfast is extremely basic with limited choices. Voucher even exlcludes muesli as cereal choice! Lovely outlook over Bay and easy and pleasant walk into central Port Vila along new waterfront landscaping.

It was my first time to Vanuatu and booking in the Chantillys on the Bay hotel was a delightful experience. The view from my private balcony made all the difference to my stay. The staff were friendly, room service was prompt, best food in the hotel restaurant which was quiet and looking out to sea, very relaxing! The hotel faces the sea so you dont hear traffic noise. It was home away from home and I am planning another trip this year. I was looking for peace and quiet and I found that in the Chantillys in abundance.

We had a fantastic stay at Nasama resort. The Resort staff were extremely friendly, with Lance in particular providing some great local insight on where to eat and places to see which weren't necessarily well known to tourists. Clean room with great cooking facilities. Wifi very slow, but overall a great experience.

It did not start well. After arriving late afternoon and being very hot and humid, the one staff member on the reception glanced up momentarily and went back to what he was doing. Then when he decided to acknowledge us he gave us a room key and did not say anything about the luggage until I looked at the stairs and my sister had to ask obout the luggage being brought to our room. This was not a good start luckily the air conditioning was on in the room. The reception also was unfortunately dark and with the the lack of customer service this made it also seem unfriendly. overall the staff were friendly and accomodating, but lack intiative at times such as table service meant missed opportunity for the restaurant business. The pool was unusable for half our stay meaning we had to go to other resorts for this luxury. We were going n the second floor which were missing the cover over the entrance area and as it rained this meant getting wet when going to the stairs and a wet entrance into the room.

Chantillys is very well located on the bay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kitchenette could have some better storage and microwave containers and tea towels. Overall very good.

It was a very nice hotel, clean and tidy. Good breakfast available at their restaurant.
