Sweeney Hall Hotel

For me it’s a home from home while away on business. Chef certainly cooks a great steak! Wouldn’t stay anywhere wide when in this area!

Great approach to the hotel along the drive from the main road to a warm welcome from the staff. The whole experience was a superb two night stay with a great room, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff in every department. On our second night we had a guest (from Australia) and after pre-warning the staff they made her very welcome and followed with a superb meal. Thanks for everything.

Staying just outside Oswestry allowed us a trip to see Kites fed and a trip to Barmouth. Great food, helpful staf and truly excellent, comfortable beds. Really enjoyed our stay. Wa reluctant to leave.

Nice enough hotel but tired around the edges, very small bathrooms. Staff friendly and helpful, no early breakfast so not really suitable for business stopovers.

A lavish and beautiful hotel set in beautiful countryside. Exquisite furnishings and fittings make staying here a real treat and I would definitely recommend it. A full breakfast is only available from 7:30, which was too late for me as I was here on business so I had to make do with a bowl of cereal and I couldn't get the shower to go above lukewarm, which was disappointing. The wifi was usable if often intermittent. Overall a really nice hotel though often the devil is in the detail.

Staff very friendly and the hotel is lovely. Our particular room was relatively small..we would choose a different room next time! The food is usually beautiful, but we didn’t like the taste of the breakfast sausages and my husband didn’t like the coffee. We would stay there again though. Thank you!
