Very comfortable Extremely helpful staff Food was excellent

A very welcoming dog friendly hotel with very polite and helpful staff. Food excellent. Large grounds to walk around, well maintained. A large cosy room with a great view although the shower flooded the floor as the shower door didn't seal to well. We would highly recommend this hotel for it's service and location to the Welsh boarders.

Beautiful building set well back from the road and surrounded by fields, cattle and sheep. Nice large room with a lovely view, large breakfast, and attentive staff throughout. Good value.

The hotel was pleasant and the staff very friendly & efficient. However, the bathroom in room 7 is somewhat tired with the skirting board unattached and mould on the ceiling. The main ceiling light also didn't work however the light over the basin was fine. The gardens are lovely but the weather didn't allow use of them.

Friendly welcome, comfortable quiet stay

I could absolutely not find fault with this hotel. The bed was a Seventh Heaven bed (known to be luxurious!) the sheets were crisp to the touch, Even the room temperature was just right. I slept like a baby. The bathroom was spotless, not overly large but it has everything you need. Extra towels and toiletries like shampoo and shower gel with a gorgeous aroma! I also asked for extra pillows and anything but a single bed and got it. The room was also divinely decorated. A sneaky peek into one of the other rooms on the way down to breakfast told me I was not in any kind of upgraded room, these were so called standard rooms.... I was an hour late for breakfast because I though the receptionist said 10.30am, was end of breakfast but it was actually 9.30am. But they still accommodated me with a fabulous fresh cold breakfast of toast, cereal, croissants, juice and tea..... I would like to stay here every time I come to Oswestry. Thank you to everyone at Sweeney Hall, for a lovely stay.

Food in the restaurant was very good quality and fantastic value for money hotel is in a relaxed location in extensive grounds.
