Kirkdale Hotel

It has been the worse Hotel we have ever stayed in … Our side look very shabby Decor old & dark ( old fashion) Stairway needs a good freshen up (painting ) stair carpet needs cleaning . Got to room Funny smell ( unfresh ) Window didn’t fit properly, broken ( catch ) well missing Tape ( gaffer taper ) marked all over window dirty ,bolt lock holding window sort of closed Carpet in room was disgusting .. dirty as hell . Looks like Greece marks all over the place , Light rose never had a cover ( seeing wires ) Stained on ceiling , looks like it been like that some while , flacking paint as well Shower look unclean ( never used ) pipe works uncared for ( in. shower ) the whole en suite needs stripping out and to start again …, The bed had damp covers on ( reported it ) never replaced . And bed was very uncomfortable, room noisy , on main road . Only one bed side cabinet and one light ( no p a t label ) window frame needs replacing . Desk / drawers need dumping and replacing No wasn’t any tea and coffee making ( kettle ) in the room When we arrived we were told the was a full fried breakfast.. we got offered only Beans ( tasted cheep ), egg, they even knackered that , and toast ,,, that all that had Dining tables were dirty and sticky . Coffee was like mud , We left there very unhappy and very disappointed WARNING DO NOT STAY THERE it’s the most disgusting place to stay:sleep in

The location is not a problem because when booking I saw the distance from the hotel to where I was going to party in Peckham before booking it. So the location is not a priority.

The heating system was the type you have to plug in the socket. The beds were separated from each others. The room floor was not in the same, one part was higher than the other so we could not join them together. We are married couple of 40 years. My husband and I have to sleep separately. It was a nightmare. No mirror in the bathroom.

TV didn't work Breakfast poor - 1 fried egg and toast

Location is ok

Breakfast stopped at 8:20 instead of 8:30 as advertised. When I pointed this out the staff made it clear I was unreasonable in their view. I could not be bothered, so I left.
