Central location, free parking, Pet friendly, welcoming hosts, good breakfast, historic property.

Not a criticism but the age of the property means steep stairs and low ceilings. If you are not too agile or have poor sight, take extra care.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our @itstartedwithacrown tour of all the Crowns in England. Laura and her team of staff are amazing, looked after us so well! Really friendly and attentive. Our room was really clean and comfortable (even in 32 degree heat!) Good quality tea and coffee in the room too. Great range of beers and spirits available and a great food menu. We had small sharing plates and they were really tasty. Breakfast was great quality and, again, nothing was a problem. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, the staff are a credit to Laura.too. We

The room was warm but it was 32 degrees and I'd bought my own fan so no dramas. There was a fan in the room though anyway.
