The Hunting Lodge

Great food, great service and quirky rooms. Plus the beer isn't bad in the bar. Second visit and planning on a third. Recommended.

Clean room (apart from mouldy shower curtain and mat), staff friendly, however, the breakfast was very poor, no fault of the lady serving, but a very poor continental breakfast with day old croissant and selection of cereals, with what seemed like cheap supermarket orange juice, is not acceptable when paying £140 for the room. I could have paid the same for a nearly manor with great room and fantastic breakfast, unsurprisingly that was full, unfortunately, and the Hunting lodge was pretty much empty.

Stayed in the Yoko room which was very pleasant, large room and had en-suite bathroom. Complimentary bottled water along with tea/coffee in the room which was a nice touch, particularly as the weather was so hot !! Excellent food. Lovely to sit outside in the large rear garden with evening drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great old pub with lots of parking, seating and superb garden. Good size bedroom and ensuite in a clean and tidy condition. Food was good, breakfast superb and the variety of drinks enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice posh pub/hotel. Good if a bit eccentric decor, good sized rooms and lovely bathroom and shower. Very comfy bed, would happily stay again.
