Friendly helpful staff accommodation was good

There are several doors to the rooms and when people go through them they are a slow shut to the last bit then they bang and when trying to rest you constantly hearing banging. Shame as the rest of the facility was lovely. I must add we had room 1.

The hotel has just been refurbished and the rooms are absolutely amazing including rainfall shower and luxuriously equipped. I loved it and will definitely be back. Top breakfast too :-)

Breakfast was good although there were a few items missing from the menu and only one waiter.

Funny smell in the bathroom. Probably due to recent installation. It was very hot and we needed air conditioning.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was very good although service was slow. The en-suite bathroom was very good and recently refurbished.

The room was far too small for a double room. There was a bed and 2 very tiny bedside tables and no other furniture. There were hooks on the wall with one coat hangar and a small shelf with the kettle and tea and coffee. There were not even any glasses to drink the 2 complimentary bottles of water. We only had an overnight bag but there was nowhere to put it without having to step over it.

I noted that there was 10% city tax added on the bill. As far as I can find out there is no city tax payable in Bletchingley. To whom is this tax paid??

The decor was lovely, great location, comfy bed and nice bathroom.

The room was a lot smaller than we expected and we felt it was slightly overpriced by around £30/40. Breakfast was nice but there was only one person serving so we think they were slightly understaffed as we never received our orange juice and couldn’t find anyone to ask for butter once our food came.

We were asked if we required breakfast the next day which we said we did, nobody in reception and waited in reception/downstairs for 10 minutes then left without breakfast.
