Whyte Harte Hotel

This is a lovely pub/ hotel. The owners and staff are really welcoming. The pub is very old (some parts from 14th century) and has the charm to match. That said, it's definitely not dated! Really strong WiFi all over, it's extremely clean and tidy and a good selection of ales/ lagers and spirits. We stayed 2 nights. The room was really clean and comfortable. There's a small carpark (no extra charge) and we never had a problem getting a space. What looks like a newly built outdoor covered area is a great touch. Special mentions go to the wonderful chef, Tim who went over and above to make our stay even better. He obviously takes immense pride in his menu with freshly cooked ingredients. The full English breakfast is the best I've ever had as was the steak burger. Thanks Tim, we really appreciated all you did. Sometimes the little things make a massive difference.

Not a deal-breaker, but our room was quite small but immaculately clean, tidy and the bathroom was great.

Fantastic staff,down to earth, to help in any way.it was a day trip and a lovely hotel to book with family. They never complain even when you ask too much. The staff was amazing when they helped book a carb to attend my sister's birthday party and the carb was running late-the carb driver was monitored till he arrived .thank you to you all for making our stay a memorable one .food was excellent. Room (6) would be too small for two people. The bed is against the wall on one side and the door on the other so no room on either side for a bed side table. No breakfast provided even though it was included in the price. Agreed it for 9 am the night before but when I went down there was no table laid, nothing laid out such as cereals and no one around. Someone was in the kitchen but couldn’t hear or see me.

The property was perfectly located . The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. They went as far as offering me an additional room at no extra cost as my circumstances had changed The chef and housekeeping staff were super friendly and it felt like home from home. I will definitely be back. Thank you again. It is reassuring to know that in this crazy world there are good people who are prepared to go the extra mile 💯

Amazingly accommodating team here. We were here for a funeral nearby. Great food, great facilities and would come back in a heart beat

The rooms in the modern part were a bit warm and the bed gave you that “roll together” experience … which if you are trying to keep away from your snoring partner might not be ideal.
