Wonky old building (1550s) with loads of character

Bit cold but was early Jan !

Lovely town, hotel, perfect location, friendly attentive staff. The food is also nice. The only downfall is that there is no parking. Although was led to believe there was according to booking sites. It was explained that there used to be! Consequently, had to go to a long stay car park, having to lug all our luggage to the hotel late in the evening and after a very long drive!

No parking. My husband stresses such things when he goes to a new place.

Room 10. Room very shabby needs decorating. Bathroom door didn’t shut, water tepid, shower trickled, radiator constantly on full blast unable to turn off and bulb gone in main ceiling light.

Location and bar was excellent. Some of the rooms are excellent. Hotel very old but Sundays of character

Everything was tired, some rooms had issues. Toilet didn't flush, heating not working.

Hotel Ian centre of town.Very old interesting building. Clean warm bedroom, clean comfortable bed. Excellent full English breakfast.

Bathroom door not shutting properly. Extractor fan didn't turn off and was noisy. Toilet pan mostly clean but below water to old to clean and needs replacing.

The breakfast was great and the room was comfortable.

There was no hot water for a shower, no fault of the hotel my car was backed into in the car park.
