"Clean and nice"

The staff is great, breakfast is brilliant taste. The room was very warm and comfortable. Also it was very clean, which i can definitely recommend to my friends.

"Great service in a tidy environment."

Mark and Jane were lovely. They put a large amount of effort in making sure that not only you enjoy your stay at the Thornbank but also that you enjoy your time in the area as a whole. Offering endless advice on places to visit for walks, food, drink and places of interest. They even researched a walk I was keen on doing that they didn't know, providing me with a printed map and things to look out for in my chosen area. The hallways are a little dated but spotlessly clean well maintained, the room was also spotless and perfect as a base for exploring the area. Breakfast is in a lovely little breakfast room where everyone feels comfortable enough to say good morning. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent all round. Warm, clean and comfortable. Perfect hosts. V good breakfast. Only minor gripe was that the bed was a little hard.

"Great place"

Lovely stay here. Bit pricey for new year for what it was but hey Ho. Jane and mark made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this place.
