Was greeted with a warm welcoming . The guest House was very clean and tidy. We were very impressed with the room it had everything we needed.had the full English breakfast which was great. Location is perfect in the middle of Windermere and Bowness.Will definitely be staying there again . Thanks again James.

"Short walk from Lake Windermere "

It was a nice cute place to stay. Just a short walk away from one of the main lakes in lake District. The hosts were both very lovely and welcoming, gave us lots of information about local restaurants and things to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Welcoming couple, clean room, off street parking and the hosts were positive when I suggested they consider installing an electric car charging point (and allowed me to plug into their domestic plug as I was perilously low on charge, which was appreciated).

I would highly recommend, and definitely stay again. Jane and her partner was so welcoming and couldnt do enough for you. The location is fab to, right in the middle so your walking distance of all the restaurants, pubs, shops, the lake and boat rides. They have a small car park round the back, but also parking on the street at the front so no need to worry about paying to park. You could leave your car to and walk down to the centre. The breakfast was lovely to :)

"2 nigth break"

We have just returned from a 2 night break.Thornbank Guest house is in a lovely location,it was our first visit to the area and we will definatly be returning.Our room was really nice and the bed so very comfy.Breakfast was excellent too and the people that run the guest house were very friendly.We would 100% recommend this lovely guest house in this beautiful area.

"Nice hotel, great location "

Nice guest house, located part way between Bowness and Windermere, both within nice walking distance. Proprietors were very friendly, nothing too much trouble and great advisors on local areas.

This was a fantastic stay..only staid for a couple of nights..but it was fantastic. . Very welcome. .very clean..and the room was very vary when cold outside and very clean n very friendly couple...
