This is a bare minimum kind of place. There was NOT a swim up bar or a restaurant open while I was there. The room was clean enough, there was plenty of hot water and the heat/ac worked. Try to get room that is as far away from the road as possible. The bars down the street are very loud on the weekends until late at night.

Blankets are bed sheets. Bring your own blankets. Heater does not work. Pull out couch mattress is stained and gross. Needed to order extra sheets to cover up.

This place was probably the worst dump I’ve ever stayed in. The rating I saw online said 7/10. Not a chance that is accurate! Maybe a 2 or 3. Dirty, bad condition, shady seeming. It didn’t even have toilet paper in the room. Unless you’re trying to punish yourself, DON’T Bother!!!!!

It was ok to sleep, I guess you get what you pay for, the only thing good about this place is the proximity to the beach and to Manny's bar and grill, our favorite place, other than that it just ok.

The property is OK, basic accommodations but they were reasonably cheap. I booked a room for four nights in the low season to use as overflow beds during a large family Christmas gathering. I only stayed two nights because after the first two nights we had enough beds at the family house for everyone to stay there. I asked if I could do an early check out and the host told me that a refund for the two un-used nights would be handled by Expedia and I should contact them online. However, after filing for the refund online, Hotel Baja never replied to multiple attempts to contact them, both from myself and Expedia customer service, and failed to provide any refund for the two unused nights. I understand how a "no refund" policy makes sense for the property during the high season when they might actually lose business due to an early check out, but the property was almost entirely empty during the dates of my stay. I don't know what the property is like during the high season, but the lack of communication or follow through on my refund request for early check out was disappointing.

The heater didn't work. The mattress was horrible, could feel the bed springs. The noise coming from Manny's was loud. I had to leave and find another hotel.

It's not to bad just don't expect to much. If you want hangers, hand towels or washcloths bring your own. I'll know for next time. The AC worked good. Short walk to beach club.
