Great views of the course , comfortable bed , very peaceful . Staff were lovely , particularly the friendly bar staff, and smiley faces at the gym/pool reception . Nice to have the sauna and pool to start the day

A 2 night stay with my daughter. Spa treatments were excellent and the pool area although a bit too hot for us was well kept and very clean. Our room looked liked it had recently been refurbished and had a great view over the golf course to the lake. Food in the Lakes restaurant was excellent as was the choice of breakfast. We found all staff to be both friendly and professional. Would definitely look to return in the future

Spa staff, were a little abrupt, but the issues were dealt with immediately.

We came for a weekend break for my wife's birthday. The facilities and breakfast was pretty good but the break was let down by the room we was given (room 228). We walked into a freezing cold room and spotted straight away that the only way for privacy was to have the blinds closed all the way down as anybody walking down the car park can see directly into the room as there was no curtains on the windows. Come the evening the binds was pointless as they was not fitted inside the window frame and had at least a half inch gap all the way around which let in the light from the car park. We had dirty marks and hair on the pillow cases, cracks in the floor tiles in the bathroom. The toilet seat is broken. No mirror in the room, just a small mirror in the bathroom but my wife could not use her hair drier or straighteners with this as no plug socket. We requested to change room and was shown another room by a very polite and apologetic lady (i cant remember her name) who agreed the room was not in good shape but the room we was shown was exactly the same. I requested to upgrade which i would of paid extra for but was told no other rooms available to upgrade to either. The carpet in the room is dirty, worn and has rips in places. We went to use the gym and spa and came back to our room door left open by the cleaners who had been in and left cleaning products on the floor in the bathroom which my wife spoke to them about and no apology for leaving the door open or leaving their cleaning supplies on the bathroom floor, she just gave a grunt and walked off. And they had not actually cleaned anything as there was still the same marks on the table where the kettle is. All it looks like the done was change the mugs and make the beds. We did notice how dirty the carpets are when you walk along the corridors from reception to the rooms as well. The place could really do with a overhaul and the room we had really needs to be upgraded. Its a shame as the rest of the hotel is nice.
