Hotel Wrexham

Ok hotel. Needs a little bit of tlc. Breakfast a bit chaotic but pretty good.

Everything was great apart from expensive drinks. Food was expensive but good.

We booked it last minute about 10 at night, checked in no problem. Had a drink at the bar, bar staff were lovely. All staff were lovely.

Very pleasent experience very clean and tidy very quiet and comfy beds. Food was ok nothing that stood out just typical pub grub dressed up

The hot is very run down Housekeepers do very little do not make beds simply pl the duvet cover over the creased sheets .Bathroom needs complete renovation grouting black. Food ok coffee undrinkable

From checking in to checking out, we were very happy with the service. The hotel is in a lovely location, just under 10 min away from Wrexham town. The food was very good on both nights, and the hotel grounds are very pleasing. The property itself, although attractive, does need abit of TLC, especially the door on our room, you had to slam shut in order to close it. But for the overall stay, we were very happy and would book again.

Unfortunately our room had the most awful smell in it. Despite opening windows and running water down all the drains, the smell remained. I complained but there was no alternative room for us to stay in. The rest of the stay was great. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was amazing. The wedding we were attending at the hotel was fantastic and every member of staff helped make it special for our friends. The receptionist tried her best to help us with the room but nhad her gands tied, having no other options to offer us. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and always been satisfied with the experience. I am sadly disappointed this time. There was no manager on site to deal with the problem, so i have been left with the option to email the manager with my complaint. Having paid for the room prior to staying I am very, very disappointed.

Sadly our room had crumbs left on the dressing table. It was a twin room, but there was only 1 biscuit and 1 hot chocoate sachet, and no glasses (not even the plastic ones). There was also only 1 chair - which is often the case but it is irritating that both guests cannot have a chair. Not sure if there was notification, but not having a lift was unhelpful when carrying luggage to the first floor.

Positives, good room size with a comfy bed, staff are very friendly, bathroom had black mould and a cracked sink and floor tiles, needs a refurb, food was ok but had far better for the price.

Hotel very tired, needs a refresh. Breakfast not bad. No hot water in the morning due to a boiler malfunctionmalfucntion
