Le Chateau de Bricquebec

Absolutely super hotel and neighbourhood, the market on Monday was well well worth the visit.

The hotel provides excellent food and service in a unique environment - not many hotels are sited within the grounds of a medieval castle. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness of all areas of the hotel is good. The interier is like taking a set back in time and the overall experience is of a more relaxing age. If you want the bright lights this is not the place for you!

The hotel occupies a unique location within the walls of a medieval castle in Bricquebec, a small town south-west of Cherbourg. It has very comfortable rooms, a good restaurant, pleasant and welcoming staff and, overall, offers very good value for money. The interior decoration, especially in the lavatory in our room (2) would benefit from freshening-up and some attention paid to the woodwork, which is a little flimsy. Generally, however, I rate this hotel very highly.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time, the Management (English speaking) and Staff were very friendly and helpful also the food was superb and reasonably priced. We will certainly be returning in the Spring.

Have stayed before and still an excellent choice for overnight stop due to convenience to Cherbourg.

Good experience to stay in a chateau and perfect for a stop off before Cherbourg Ferry. Rooms were OK and clean and the staff were lovely. Food wasn't really for kids - better for couples who had time to enjoy the experience. Lots of things for the kids to see and the experience of staying in a chateau probably worth it.

The staff were welcoming and despite us arriving late offered us food. The room was comfortable and the kids loved it as it was like staying in a castle - turets and all!

Interesting setting in an old castle. Worth driving out of Cherbourg, having arrived on an early evening ferry, for an overnight stay. Excellent food. Set menu very good.

The hotel was very attractive and the service was excellent. Food was good, not a great variety, but well presented.

We only stayed one night as a break in our journey further south but the staff were very welcoming and ready to help. The hotel has a charming setting within the walls of a fortified chateau. It is certainly a place which I would stay in again both as a stopover and as a base to explore Normandy.
