"En route to Le Mans"

8.0

This hotel is built into the ramparts of the old castle, the location is stunning & it's a very beautiful, short route to or from Cherbourg. The rooms are a little dated but more than compensated for by the fabric of the building, the fact that they are built into the old building and by the enthusiastic staff. Staying here is an event not to be missed!

"Wonderful historic hotel in lovely town."

8.0

A lovely hotel set within ancient castle wall of old town. Dinner in Banqueting Hall was delightful. Bathroom fittings in bedroom, however, were very 1970's or 1980's - & really need replacing.

"Great Hotel, centrally located for excursions."

10.0

Great owners who spoke very good English. Very welcoming atmosphere. Lent us their personal map and suggested a wonderful day trip. Nice room. Charming venue. Roofing work going on but did not hear anything. Nothing but good things to say.

"Stay at a Chateau"

10.0

What a dream to stay in a building built 500 years before there was an America. A little rustic but you can't go wrong. The staff was wonderful, the restaurant gourmet, and the history is everywhere you turn. Small, intimate, romantic, like living in a fantasy for the evening. And a great location for exploring Normandy. You can't go wrong here

"Great place with welcoming staff"

10.0

The building was very special, well restored and in a delightful village we were impressed by the staff who were all friendly and even arriving late in e evening we had a very nice meal in their restaurant, breakfast was also a good experience we all had the mini breakfast which was very good value and the croissants were home made and delicious. We would definitely recommend it although finding it without sat nav would be more challenging.
