Amphora Hotel

A wonderfully maintained Venetian building with a great location in the old port. Our suite was a throwback in time right down to the oversized hearth and four poster bed. All the room needs is a new matress. Unfortunately the existing made for a very restless sleep with next to no padding. The hotel tavern is truly the best on the port.

Lovely view. Lovely breakfast. Good map reading skills necessary for parking but we got close!

Good location and service. Some rooms not as sound proof as they should be.

Great big room overlooking the Venetian harbour.

Our large comfortable room, with lovely ancient ceiling timber exposed, had a small private balcony overlooking the water. The facility had two large common open areas with view of the water and comfortable chairs, tables and umbrellas, where there were guests eating breakfast or reading books. Breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.

great location to all restaurants,but noisy from night club next door

It's a boutique hotel in the heart of old Chania with a restaurant on the rooftop overlooking the harbor. The rooms have a strange lay-out (our bed was in a loft)and because it was in the heart of town, we heard disco music into the early morning hours. But the hotel itself is nice and the people couldn't be friendlier.

We loved our stay here. Situated in the old quarter of Chania, we had lovely views from our room and balcony across the harbour, facing the morning sunrise. And our delicious breakfast on an upper floor terrace was accompanied by swifts flying around us and visiting their nests under the pantiles. An evening meal at the restaurant downstairs was also very good. We found the staff very helpful with advice, assistance and recommendations. It isn't the cheapest place to stay in this part of Chania but we thought it was very good value.
