"Panama Visit"

2.0

The only good thing about this hotel was that the staff was helpful even though they were not bilingual which would have been helpful to know beforehand. The hotel was not in the best location, very close to the ghetto area but close to the supermarket and the boardwalk area. The rooms were small (one single and one double bed when I expected two double beds). The beds covers were horrible and they had no padding on the beds. The pillows were not the best (the famil member who traveled with me workup with neck pains). The bathroom was small (someone over 6 feet would have major issues using the bathroom), the shower leaked, no rug or wash rag. The hotel claimed that visitor had to pay $11 to visit in the room which defeated the purpose of our visit which was to see a family member attending college in the country so we had to hang out in the lobby or outside to visit my family. Save your money and stay in a better hotel if you plan to visit Panama especially if you plan to stay more than one night. One night of this place is all that I would recommend. Even though the building is old they could do a much better job sprucing up the place and make it more charming inside despite the location of the hotel. The bottom line, I will not stay in this hotel again.

"Disappointed"

2.0

The hotel was vastly overrated in your descriptions. It is old and very run down. No one on the staff spoke english, so communicating was a horror. It is next door to a strip club and seems to be used on an hourly basis by patrons and strippers.

"Very good location to supermarket and casino."

2.0

Hotel is only very fair Thought there were bed bugs Anyone considering staying there, if there is more than one of you please everyone show their passports even if there are not asked for .believe me it could become a problem.I was in the room alone as my brother and sister had gone out to eat. I was constantly being phoned up or a member of staff knocking at the door insisting I give the passport numbers of my brother and sister. Finally they gave up and waited for them to come back to the hotel. I felt very concerned and rather nervous about the circumstance but it was probably the police wanting to check but the staff should have done their job properly in the first instance.LA

"Worst ever"

2.0

I think that for almost 60 dollars a day, I could have found a better hotel in Panamá. Terrible location, unfriendly staff, ugly rooms, DO NOT STAY at that hotel, ever.

"Easy"

6.0

Everything went well. I was able to easily check in and get to my room. The room was small but quaint. The people were nice. I ordered a taxi and even though I was a half hour late to take it, it waited for me. I didn't get to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast

"Ideal cheap night for a long lay-over"

4.0

Well, when you have a long 19 hours lay-over like I did and you are on a budget, then this hotel will suit you just fine. It is easy to find, the rooms are functional and comfy, if a little old and worn and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you come expecting the Hilton, don't bother. As far as hotel's go though, this resembles more a hostel but it does the job.

"The Worst Hotel Ever"

2.0

Well firstly I asked to change room! This was due to the location of the hotel, its on a busy road and its so noisy from local buses and all public transport. I then changed room! problem still not solved, was hearing the lift constantly, people talking and walking through the hotel was a nightmare. It was a sleepless night prior a day of meeting. Not only that the shower screen door didn't close The Air-condition Unit was very noisy & the TV was very smal. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in on my travels.

"DON'T GO CHEAP"

2.0

This hotel is not in the best area. I was told it's not safe for me as a woman to walk on my own around the area. The owner is saving every penny, rooms needed to be at least painted years ago. Everything is broken, no windows in the rooms, very noisy, room smelled like it was the smoking room. The bed never smelled fresh, you would never be able to have good rest there. I honestly can say that this was the worst hotel in my life. I don't understand how this could be a three star hotel, it's just not possible. Oh, by the way, there is no English speaking people either, they don't even try to help you. I will never come back to this terrible place again, I liked the country, but not this hotel. Just pay more and don't go cheap.

"The management treats this hotel as if it was a bordelo."

4.0

Hotel staff monitored and prevented me from taking any guess to my room unless I paid $11.00. I was offended by this because the room was paid for in full and I could not take up a visitor without being embarrassed by the request to pay more money to take someone up. I felt like they ran the hotel like a "Hostel". Hotel staff used the quip "I am doing my job" line to promote this absurd rule. I don't fault the employees but I do the management. Management's breakfast rule in the restaurant is mis-guided too because one has to pay for coffee because the hotel breakfast pass does not pay for coffee.
