Such roomy accommodation, with a lot of good amenities that are not often included at other hotels. Our view was top notch as well.

Fabulous professional service. Kind and courteous front of house and housekeeping. Bed and linen fantastic. Lovely and quiet. Been to Hanmer a few times but first stay here and now number 1 stay for me

This is a modern property maintained in excellent condition. My room, or more correctly a suite, comprised a large and comfortable living room with a dining area, a very well equipped kitchen area and a separate bedroom. There were small patios that were not overlooked outside the living room and bedroom with tables and chairs. When I checked in, the receptionist immediately changed my room to a ground floor room to accommodate the fact that I am not great on stairs and I had been assigned a room on the upper floor - there's no lift. One tiny negative was poor wifi but whether this was the motel's fault or my equipment was not clear as there was a booster in the living room. Would I stay there again? Yes, without hesitation (if I could afford it)!

We’ve stayed in many places in Hanmer over the years, including high end B&B’s and another highly rated motel that promised far more than it delivered. But for comfort, privacy, quality, service and location we cannot go past The St James. Keep up the great work, team - we look forward to our next visit.

Booked our stay last minute Sharon was a great host. We loved our stay extending twice. Units are perfect location and rooms are exceptionally clean. Free laundry which was super. Towels handed out for hot pools. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks
