Hotel Hacienda VIP

This is a wonderful hotel. It is beautiful, centrally located with safe parking, and the staff is extremely helpful. I'd go back next week if I could.

Superb

Lovely quiet hotel close to the centre of the old city. Our room was cool, simple, tastefully decorated. The pool in the courtyard is small, but clean and big enough for a refreshing dip after hot days in Merida. Good breakfast in the courtyard. The staff were wonderful - they really could not have been nicer.

We stayed three nights and were well taken care of. The VIP and Hotel Hacienda Merida are side by side with VIP being the upscale version. The common areas in both are excellent but the rooms in VIP are larger while the sister hotel next door has smaller rooms less well appointed and may be disappointing if you are looking for the full Hacienda experience. Very convenient to city center and accessible.

Location, location. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to see. It is near the action of the main plaza as well as Montejo,the newer restaurant and shopping area. Above all else is the staff of the Hacienda VIP. They couldn't have been more attentive or quicker to respond to a lazy drain in the shower or remembering what we liked for breakfast(imagine warm croissants in Mexico) or getting us tickets for ancient Mayan excavation tours and explorations of the region. Merida was a new Mexican discovery for us and re-visits will always involve stays at the Hacienda VIP. We give it 5 stars!
