The setting

the place was filthy, shabby not as described it was not suitable to accommodate residents, food was dreadful, we were moved to slightly better rooms but they were still dirty, filthy carpets and showers didn't work, water took 40 minutes to get warm it was dreadful

Tricky to find. Sat nav sent us to wrong place In need of paint and refresh in the part we were in. Internal doors very grubby Resturant was closed

The breakfast was good, finding the location of it was more tricky! We gathered up two other lots of guests looking for it whilst we were!

"Nice View But Let Down"

I enjoyed watching the view from the bar windows and the view from complete my up to Stoke Rochford Hotel. We had a very lovely hotel manager who kept me up to date with my bookings & facilities that were available, when staying at the hotel

As soon as my partner and me entered our room I went into the bathroom found the bathroom floor had not been cleaned properly. Found other guests hair on the floor, no bath mat if you choose to have a shower or bath, so you could easily have an accident when coming out the bath/shower. The radiator had a leak and left a water ring stain round the bottom of the radiator pipe. Wall paper was tearing off. Tv wall wires on show. The main room, where we stayed at the floor had not been vacuumed at all. Saw lasts guests mess & hair on the floor. The bed was rock hard, struggled to get to sleep. Was a lot of noise outside in the courtyard during the night and early morning. Reported our grievances to the floor hotel manager and she wrote down the list and apologised gave us a complementary breakfast before check out. She was very understanding and non judgmental on our experiences. I hope our grievances were taken seriously and hope changes will be made as we would like to come back in the near future.

"Excellent stay"

Beautiful building and surrounding, really helpful staff, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was staying alone with my 1year old daughter and the staff couldn't have been more helpful

Staff were so. Friendly we were in an annexe which suited our needs and was probably a bonus as there was a wedding in the main hotel

No option for a meal in the evening due to the wedding but we was given directions to a local pub that served amazing food that was great value for money
