Place2stay in Ghent

A great little overnight in Belgium.

A short break combining business and leisure with my wife in Gent. Great central location just off the Friday market. Parking outside if you are lucky, plenty under the Friday market if not. Fully equipped modern apartment. Made full use of the fantastic bars and restaurants of Gent all in a short walk. Specially ribs in one of 3 Armadeues places, mussels on the canal front Graslei, music in the recently opened Missy Sippy Blues and Roots bar in Klein Turkije. If any slight downside, can only pay in cash, not that convenient but not a major issue.

4 nights in a conference. The staff was very nice - got my room 2 hours earlier and I was traveling with a broken arm, so that was certainly appreciated. Very clean, very comfy.

Fantastic place - modern apartment with modern decoration, great living spaces, including a full kitchen, a living room and the penthouse has a large terrace. It is also reasonably priced for the center of Gent. We stayed 6 nights. I gave low ratings for Hotel Services as this is not a hotel, so no check in counter (you ring a bell at the door and it's done remotely), no cleaning service, no concierge, etc. The only inconveniences are (1) no elevator - we had the upper penthouse and got used to climb the stairs (good exercise), (2) internet requires frequent re-login and (3) cash only payment. The advantages of having a full- modern apartment in the center of Gent far outweigh the inconveniences so I give it 5 stars as it is truly a gem.

Me and my girlfriend went for too romantic nights, the apartment wasn't hard to find and the lady met us at the entrance, led us into our room and provided an explanation of the facilities. Then gave us maps of the city and the location is great right next to all the sites you want to see. The room was large and spacious and our stay was really nice. I would recommend this place.

No receptionist have to use own phone to ring them to answer the door. Rubbish was left in the bin which made the kitchen smell. Spare bed just left randomly in the middle of the room. But nice apartment spacious clean.

Central Ghent location, cleanliness and comfort make this a great place to stay.

Second stay here and absolutely love it. The only minor gripes are a vicious cold draught under the door and no way of turning the reading light off from the bed meaning you have to get out and walk across the room. Other than this, great. I am sure we will be back.

This isn't a hotel, so much as a residence. I arrived late and was allowed into the building by way of an intercom that called to my host's phone. There was no hotel staff. Once I realized this was the situation, my stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was very clean and functional.

Loved our place in Ghent. Everything worked! Would certainly recommend this pkace. Linens were scrumptious! Coffee good. Right outside and a short walk was the square. Quite a ways from the main station but easy access by bus.
