Place2stay in Ghent

I was very pleased with the location, the room and the service! I was on the bottom floor and would prefer one floor up on my next stay but the room was comfortable and clean. The service was friendly as well! I would stay there again!

Spent 4 nights in Ghent in May 2014 for a fiftieth birthday celebration.Travelled via Eurostar and train to the beautiful city of Ghent.If you want to be emerged in european history but still like to eat and drink well Ghent could be for you.Found that there is little or no English translation even on menu's. As in most european countries found that nearly everyone was able to translate the Flemish, Dutch or german in english for us. A great relaxing city break.Numerous places to eat make your way to the tourist information and pick up Restro Ghent leaflet which will give you a place to start.Would recommend T" Vosken by the cathedral for good quality and reasonable priced food ( the beef stew and fish stew where exceptional ). If you want a steak the place to go is Du Prgress by St.Nicholas church the two person T Bone was immense,better like your stark rare though.

Lovely having a kitchenette. God location only about a 2min walk to the main square that has a carrefour for supplies, bars and restaurants. Good size rooms,be aware that if you get a front room you overlook the carpark and with no nets or blinds we had to have the curtains pulled with lights on in the morning. Car parking is 11€ on the street or €14 in the underground, but free on Sundays. As per other reviews they only accept cash up front which was good to know. I would recommend this hotel if you like a bit of self catering, suits us as we love a dinner of bread and cheese and wine

Modern very well appointed apartment that is kept in excellent condition and very clean. Location is a little way away from cafes and bars etc, but has the advantage of there being little noise at night, and it is only 5 minuets walk from Bars, Shops and the Canal/Castle area.
