"In the middle of the center"

8.0

The location of the hotel is perfect. You are in walking distance of the lizard park, the pear and the old part of the city. The ride from the hotel only cost 5 dollars and is about 10 minutes. I had a big room with a clean bathroom and balcony. The balcony was over a very busy street, so it was pretty noisy during the night.

"A backpackers place"

6.0

The rooms were adequate. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately construction was ongoing outside our window on the street that kept going well after midnight. Then the traffic in the morning with horn honking is a bit too much. The price is right and the staff was very helpful, but we would not stay there again. For others this could be a good place to stay.

"A cool oasis in hot Guayaquil"

10.0

A nice, clean, pleasurable oasis in what otherwise is a steamy, beautiful, and sometimes gritty city :-)

"Casa Romero - great budget place downtown"

6.0

Friendly staff, good breakfast, good recommendations. If you need a no-frills stay, the beds are firm yet comfortable, bathrooms are clean, they have wifi. The neigborhood is a bit ordinary, but very close to the riverfront, and the cathedral. A cab ride cost 5 usd from the airport. Good place.

"Casa De Romero - Perfect location for new visitors"

10.0

This was my first stay at Casa De Romero and everyone was very accomodating. I had a private room with balcony and the room was spotlessly clean. The owner speaks excellent English and everyone went out of their way to help me. There is wi-fi and also a computer for guests to share. When I made my reservation it thru hotels.com it said breakfast not included but I was served a nice breakfast. I will return to stay here again in the future. The price, location, and friendliness of staff have sold me on this place.

"A Clean, Safe and Helpful Place to Stay in Guayaquil"

10.0

We loved staying at Casa de Romero!! Ellen and Andrea were SO helpful and nice to us during our stay. They let us leave our suitcases there for a week when we went to the Galapagos, they arranged pick-ups for us from the airport, they answered our emails promptly etc.. The rooms are super cute and very comfortable. The hostel is on the 7th floor and in a gated building so it's extremely safe. They have free wi-fi and free breakfast. I cannot recommend a better place to stay if you are in Guayaquil. Thank you!!

"over night enroute"

8.0

My friend and I only stayed overnight on our way south. It was our first night in Ecuador, the host (Kerly) made our stay very enjoyable! She talked with us and stayed up late into the night answering questions and making us feel very welcome. We had a comfortable clean room, a hot shower in the a.m., and after some coffee and toast w/jam off we went. We met another traveler doing the same as us, she has stayed there several times before ...
