Mantra Samui Resort - Adults Only

Mantra hotel is amazing . I loved the location . The staff are brilliant and cant do enough for you .

Great views, location, and staff. Just very steep incline across the property. Would recommend cabs/bikes to go out.

Nice place, need a moped to stay here as it’s on a hill. Clean place friendly staff takes about 10mins kn the ped to get to the town for food clothing. Nice beaches near by.

Hotel is not 5 star. Pool and view were its best features . Rooms fine and comfortable Staff always oh their mobiles . Not once did any staff come around the pool to offer drinks etc. had to ask for everything all the time . Poor service overall . Hotel manager was on site once a day. He sat my the pool smoking . Roads leading up to hotel awful and dangerous . The hotel have not put a road or clear directions . I arrived in darkness and it was a dangerous drive up . Ok for a few days but not the standard I expect from Thailand .

The hotel was breathtaking, however I didn’t enjoy that it was a separate unit across the street. Staffs were extremely kind and helpful. The only thing that scared us was the unexpected room service knocking. But I think it’s common for room service. I just prefer not to have room service. But overall the hotel and beach was amazing. I would love to come back to this resort. I will give it a 10/10!

Whilst visting Koh Samui and Koh Phangan from Scotland my girlfriend and I stayed at a few different resorts, two of which being much larger establishments than Mantra (Centara and Santhiya) and although we enjoyed them both, Mantra remains our favourite. The main reason being is their excellent value for money. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly, seeming like they would take you to the edge of the Earth if only you asked them. The manager James was great even arranged a cake to be brought over for my girlfriends birthday! The location is beautiful looking over towards Koh Phangan but can't say it is easiest to access being up on a hill, however it is part of the charm of the resort and they make up for it with their free shuttle service either to nearby Fishermans village or Central. As its on a hill, it is quite steep to get access up to the pool and resturant area, but don't be discouraged if you are have poorer mobility as they have buggies that will escort you up or down and ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Rooms are spacious, good air conditioning systems and nice comfy beds. Its also very nice to have the 24/7 gym access and the fair-priced spa that I regrettably didn't utilise. Infinity pool was perfect. Breakfast was great with variety of fresh food. The lunch and dinner menu is mostly westernised ofcourse, but has some good Thai options included too. My girlfriend enjoyed the food, but her being a vegetarian would've liked to have seen some more attractive options. Price wise I'd say the dinners a little above average for Thailand in general, but compared to other resorts we stayed at it was definitely cheaper. All in all its a very nice relaxed place to stay, and will definitely be coming back! Mantra team, thank you for making us feel so valued!

Great resort

Mantra Resort is a great value high end property in a perfect setting on Koh Samui. Close enough to Chewang, Fisherman's Village and quaint Maenam. It also combines perfect privacy with a personal touch that only a high calibre resort of this size could achieve. GM Janes and the entirety of resort staff, are true professionals. We extended our stay twice....you will absolutely want to do the same!

Welcoming, smiling, hospitality at its best Colour, nationality, ethnicity all treated with the utmost appreciation and mutual respect. We agreed that the hotel employees seemed to be very happy to work at the hotel! TLDR: YES YES YES, do not hesitate to book your stay at Mantra Samui Resort! Nothing but smiles and happiness. Ocean view Rooms are definitely worth the upgrade! Rooms are clean, spacious and cooled. The hotels makes a great effort on sustainability and it shows, so big bravo on your efforts :) On day of checkout we were able to enjoy the pool and the hotel even provides a ‘shower room’ to get ready for departure!! They offer some events throughout the week (theme nights, daily golden hours for drinks at reduced rates, gym classes, etc) Very fairly priced food and drinks in the bar + have I mentioned the great view? Excellent breakfast options + a la carte menu (included in rate), Offer shuttle service to nearby hotspots Hotel/guest relations does a great job in working on customer/guest feedback. Great WiFi strength/ bandwidth, never had any issues! Currently great weather even though it is rain season, so definitely should not hold you back from visiting! Located nicely, surrounded by jungle forest. Offering a great view of the surrounding area and lookout on to the bay. Offers shuttle service to/from the airport at a good rate. Definitely worth booking a scooter/ motor bike for a few days to get around. Hotel offers them at a great rate, via 3rd party, and does not require your tourist visa. Anecdote: a snake crawled on to the powerlines outside of the resort which resulted in a shortcircuit. The staff/technicians had the temporary electricity up and running in less than 10 minutes. Great memories made, we would love to visit again! If any room for improvements: Sunbeds show some wear Cocktails can be improved on, we only tried 1 each but both were not memorable.
