Insel Hotel

It is really good hotel with also real breakfast for whole family !

My husband and I stay in Bad Godesberg for a couple of weeks each year and have lunch at the Insel on several occasions during our stay. There is an English menu and the waitresses are very helpful, polite and efficient. There is an outside area with sunshades, on the square to sit and watch the world go by as you eat, or you can stay in the air con. There is a different menu for inside. All the food is delicious, hence we always return. PS the toilets are spotless

I stayed here for 5 days while attending a conference at the nearby conference centre. Hotel has been refurbished and the rooms were clean and bright. Well laid out for a business trip with plenty of sockets. Staff very helpful. A good gym for a medium sized hotel. Breakfast was included and was absolutely outstanding. Located in a small shopping area near the train station and U-Bahn. Room service is available. Teh only negative is that the full dinner menu and room service only available until 21:00.

Nice, modern hotel. Right in the city center. Staff was excellent - went out of their way to make sure my stay was everything I needed it to be. Thanks Insel Hotel!!!

The staff working here is really what makes this hotel stand out. The rooms are great, the breakfast even better and the location is even grater (behind is the train station. If you’re in Bonn visiting, this is perhaps the best place to stay!

I have just completed a seven day stay at the Insel Hotel, stayed in a Business Single Room in first floor facing the Pedestrian Square . The hotel is in a great location,located on pedestrian square,central and convenient for shops and restaurants ,just less than 10 minutes walk from both the central station and the U-Bahn which makes it easy to reach Bonn Center and other places. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly. A very clean hotel throughout,decor is beautiful,modern.The room was comfortable and clean with comfortable bed,serviced every day.the bathroom is small, nice and tidy clean and well maintained even if the shower was a bit small.there is a free drinks in the fridge.the only thing missing was tea & coffee making facilities in the room There is an excellent Free Wi-Fi throughout the building. The daily breakfast was buffet style,excellent and consisted of both cold and hot items and very plentiful,with variety of tea as well.I was very satisfied with it and ate very well,and happy with Great friendly service. Highly Recommended with reasonable Price to stay in case you need to be in Bad Godesberg.

The hotel was clean and well-situated, and the beds were comfortable, but our daughter was sleeping on the floor. As we brought a camping mattress pad with us, that was no problem, but it turned out that when we asked for an extra blanket the management wanted to charge us for an extra bed. We were able to convince him that we only needed an extra blanket, but the manager we dealt with was curt and rude, which left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to friends.

This is my third stay at this very special unique hotel near Bonn. The two vintage homes that make up the hotel make for a special and unique lodging experience. Every detail is attended to. All the rooms have comfy beds, great bathrooms and perfect lighting. The breakfasts are classic European style served in a lovely, sunny breakfast room. This hotel is the perfect choice for a business or pleasure trip. Finally, the staff is friendly and very helpful.

Never used this hotel before, but due to a food fair in Essen (?) and late booking I got this. Easy communication by U-bahn, and Bad Godesberg looked Ok, though I didn’t test any of its reataurants. I had a double business room, good space and free drinks in the fridge. Cleaning good. An excellent breakfast with friendly and smiling staff. A good alternative to more central Bonn hotels.

I have given 5 stars as I cannot fault this hotel - other than the view we had which is no fault of theirs. Central and convenient for shops, next door to theatre if of interest. Room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times - overall, nothing was too much trouble for them. The most comfortable bed I’ve slept in in ages, loved the over sized but very squishy pillows. Air con available but can’t comment on this as we had window open which was fine for us. Super breakfast included in room price; sausage, bacon, choice of eggs and lovely selection of breads, cold meats, cheese, cereals , yoghurts etc etc etc On site cafe / restaurant very pleasant - again staff friendly and accommodating- menu simple, reasonably priced and nice fresh food presented. Menu is limited and doesn’t change so could become a little boring after a few nights so would recommend an eat out if staying a few days. Would recommend for either business or pleasure
