Suites del Mar by Melia

We are a couple with an adult daughter, and spent three nights at this hotel in February. The room was a good size, with a sitting area, separate bedroom area (with two large double beds), shower area, and separate bathroom. We chose the hotel because it had good reviews (which we'd endorse) and was easy to get to from the airport and well-located for walks into the old town and along the promenade. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and if we return to Alicante then we would happily come back here.

Staff really friendly, facilities excellent, breakfast great, shower with sea view

The second time staying at this hotel. Its location is a 10 minute 3.85 euro bus (a Spanish bus which is clean and runs on time) ride from the airport. The location is behind the bustling harbour which has plenty of cafe's and restaurants. The rooms are spacious with superb views, clean and have a fresh coffee machine. The breakfast has a varied choice and of a very high standard. It has a small pool and gym and is only 2 minutes from the beach. 10 out of 10 hotel

This is a lovely hotel. We booked one of the junior suites and it was absolutely fantastic with everything you could need supplied The breakfast was a buffet with excellent food - both hot and cold. We would thoroughly recommend it and would go again.

The room was lovely, and there was plenty of towels every day. The sheets are changed every two days, which is great. The cleaning staff were very good, as was the breakfast staff. The breakfast is good, but theres no omelettes on offer. Great selection of hams, cheese, and smoked salmon. The pool area is small, and my husband said it was the run of the mill, but I don't us it, so cant comment. If you have a harbour front room, there is loads of noise at night from the nightclub, and it goes on till the early hours. The room we had was very good at blocking the noise, as we were on 4th floor, but don't know what it would be like further down. Handy hotel for sea and old town.

Lovely hotel with excellent amenities. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. All of the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely go back again.

The pool is small so a swim in the sea was preferred

Unbelievable location along the coast and in the heart of Alicante. Amazing waterfront breakfast spot. Doesn't get much better.
