The Plume of Feathers

The room was well equipped with all the essentials, the bed was incredibly comfortable, we both slept very well. The breakfast was delicious, way better than expected.

There isn’t a great deal of room, no bedside tables

Cute little room in a lovely pub! I was in the village for a wedding so unfortunely I didn’t get to explore much, but the room was perfect for what I needed - would love to come back again, explore the town and try the pub food as heard good things. Loved that it was a converted stable (I think!), bed was really comfy - great pillows and duvet too :)

Friendly owners and staff, comfy accommodation, great price, food, beers, location, history of the feathers, village. Just a great stay all round.

Accommodation poor. In renovated stable block...which sounds nice but wasnt. The bed was against a wall which was difficult to get out of to go to bathroom in night.Nowhere to put cups as no bedside tables. No mirror except in bathroom. Black mould at base of shower which kept going scalding hot in middle of shower. No windows except for very small velux on high roof. Very stuffy room. Dated which made it seem unclean. No plugs near bed. 😕 Very disappointed as we paid £80 for this ...wasn't worth it. Ruined a special weekend.

Location fantastic

The room was practical, however it was fairly damp and i am not sure that it had been hoovered as there was mud and dirt on the carpet. Earplugs are provided but you can hear absolutely everything down to a tap running in neighbouring rooms.

Stayed for a wedding in the village and we were made to feel really welcome by Gaz and Emma. Lovely pub!
