Ballyrobin Hotel

Very disappointing and mis-sold/advertised. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because when we weighed up the cost it included a hotel shuttle so thought it was relatively good value however when we arrived we were told this was no longer offered so had to arrange a taxi at extra cost and inconvenience. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere with no pathway at all along the road to be able to walk safely to the hotel so you either risk getting there safely by walking on a busy road or you get a taxi. We did not know this when arriving so walked and would not suggest anyone else do this as it is NOT safe, especially in the dark. When we arranged a taxi to take us back we used a very nice and helpful driver called Robert. We would recommend using him. Our room was sold as a 'king room'. It was not a king room as was small and only had a double bed. The room was dark. The shower was broken. The room was dated with dark furniture. The price of this room was NOT value for money and we would never stay here again. We did not like that we were not told prior about the shuttle service being stopped. We would have cancelled our stay if we knew this and booked somewhere else but I expect the hotel knew this so that is the reason when they don't let there customers know. Very dis honest. We were extremely glad that we only booked for a 1 night stay.

Good location

The breakfast was the only thing was good.

The scone was hard. Town afternoon lunch wasn't great and neither was my wives. The bacon was also burnt.

The BallyRobin hotel was a decent place for an overnight stay before our flight from Belfast International. It was ideally located just five minutes from the airport, so was handy for our early morning flight. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bed and ample storage space. The bathroom was also clean and had complimentary toiletries which was welcome as we had packed our own in our case! We went to the restaurant for our dinner, and whilst the food we had was good, we felt there could have been a wider selection of meal options on the menu.

Friendly staff, good food and convenient to the airport.
