Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful also.

We had an Accessible Bathroom, and it was very tired looking bathroom. The switches on the shower was difficult to use, and thought it wasn’t working.

The breakfast was excellent, location perfect. We really appreciated the fan in the room and the biscuits were very welcome.

The room and particularly the bathroom was quite tired but it had everything we needed.

This is a fabulous hotel and is very close to the to town. Excellent value for money.

The breakfast was fine as we don't eat a big breakfast. Nice pot of tea and staff very nice.

What was not great was there was 2 bottles of water one sparkling so not enough to make tea or coffee. I was aware of no drinking water from taps due to old building but had completely forgot. If people have medication to take and need a couple of hot drinks it's not possible. Bed comfy. Water in room slow running and took time to empty sink.

Rock hard pillows! Very small shower. Couldn't look into the bathroom mirror without crouching.

This is such an incredible old building, with fantastic, large rooms, and super friendly staff. We loved the experience (including the room named after a poet and the great breakfast), and loved that we got to stay at a hotel that's been welcoming guests for over 400 years!

The staff were very friendly and helpful
