Very nice little country side pub nice food and service also the rooms are very nice and has a excellent atmosphere and land lord is very nice couple. Ideal weekend away for family or couple.

The New Inn has the ambience of a local pub but rooms that are comfortable and spacious. Food is plentiful and well-cooked with a huge breakfast that kept one going all morning. Definitely recommended for a stay in a lovely quiet town.

Staff was friendly, most food was ok. Booking failed as we did not get a room with a bath as ordered, blamed on booking system. Room and bathroom dirty. Poorly managed , Would not revisit The New Inn which is a pity as it could be a very nice place.

Liked - staying in a character property in an historic town/village close to Rye. Breakfast was good. Dinner choices were good pub grub.. Friendly staff Not so keen: Noise from bar/restaurant below, but only until 11pm latest. Breakfast did not start until 08:30, would have preferred 08:00

We stayed for 1 night in a ‘luxury double room with bath’. The room was large and comfortable, as was the bed. Everything was scrupulously clean and well maintained; breakfast was good and quickly produced. Overall, a great place to stay in an interesting village - I’d certainly return if I was in the area.
