The New Inn

Better than most Pubs I've stayed in, all the staff are very helpful and polite, great pub grub evening meals with specials board and breakfast.The pub has a nice secluded garden which is great if you have kids as there is a gate to access. The room was comfortable, but the shower was a bit small/tight for me who's not your standard slim fellow. Overall nice place to stay.

Fantastic location, friendly staff, beautiful beer garden, lovely food, hearty breakfast - a real find! Great place to explore the area Winchelsea is picture postcard stuff and so historically interesting (the Saturday Cellar Tour and St Thomas's Church were a joy in themselves) and the local coffee shop has the best sausage rolls that we had ever tried. I only recommend something if I would do it again and in this case I do.

Rooms at the front subject to some traffic noise at times

Everything very good except we had an evening meal and one of the staff was not very well trained. They forgot to charge us for a bottle of wine so we told them and she took it personally and was rude about it instead of staying thank you for telling me. Otherwise I would recommend the New Inn as the room and food were very good.

Old pub done up really well with excellent food

A building with character costs far more to refurbish and maintain. For example, the skirting boards had all to be cut to fit the sloping floors; some of the door frames were wonky for the same reason.

Lovely pub with plenty of parking space. Quirky rooms spacious and nicely furnished with everything you could need even down to an ironing board and iron. Fan was available as the weather was very warm. Really comfortable bed and an excellent choice of breakfast with everything very high quality and cooked to order. Friendly staff and dinner in the pub was very good. Good choice of hand pulled beers n the bar. Lots to see and do in the local area so an excellent base for exploring.
