"Delightful couple of days here & the ambience was delightful with majority of good friendly staff!"

9.0

Beautiful inn, which has been delicately renovated to keep it in its original glory!

The property was divine, 1 or 2 staff members could have been a little more accommodating.

"Nice stylish old historic place to stay but ask for upstairs room in main hotel away from road junction and expect ordin"

7.0

Lovely old buildings and tasteful decor. Good food in restaurant.

Being in a room right next to road junction opposite the hotel (one of their better rooms) very noisy in morning and rush hour with some Light coming through at night from road. Bed far to small for us only just over 150cm wide like normal double when we expected extra large super kind 180 wide. It was very soft mattress too.

"Lovely historic inn"

9.0

Beautiful historic inn. Warm welcome, lovely staff. Nice room. Easy parking. Good food. Would definitely recommend.

What looked like a temporary replacement toilet seat in Wells room, slipping sideways all the time as it doesn't fit. Busy road to cross to the annexe, a little care needed as cars seem to come from every direction.

"Old English Hospitality at it's best!"

10.0

Staff were excellent - attentive and passionate. Our waitress during dinner engaged in polite conversation and supported us with our menu choices. The atmosphere in and around the Inn was welcoming and a true representation of old England. Our stay was awash with wonderful attention to detail and personable touches throughout: freshly baked cookies, pillow spray to ease sleep, walking route recommendations, personalised welcome letters. You felt like a truly honoured guest whilst stay and this is testament to the dedication, passion and work ethic shared by all staff. Parking was simple, check in also simple, after which we were escorted to our room to settle in. The views from the Inn are to die for and capitalised upon by the outdoor dining/lounge area. We were first time visitors to the immediate area and would definitely stay here again.

This is being really picky as there really was nothing else to fault... Our pouched eggs at breakfast (9am) had hard centres, rather than the runny centre expected. Perhaps if we had been down earlier this wouldn't be the case, but I would assume the eggs were cooked to order.
