Such a lovely stay and great location in the town. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely people.

Nothing, fabulous stay. Wish the breakfast was on until 10am, but that’s it.

Excellent breakfast- Ivan was a brilliant host.

Excellent stay. Really like the way you can replenish your room tea tray yourself & the fridges to store food. Showers nice & hot & breakfast was top class. Holly & Ivan are lovely and we have booked to stay again next month, which says it all.

The hotel is in an excellent location overlooking Hope Park and beyond it the fells and Derwentwater. The town centre with its many restaurants, cafés and shops is a very short walk away. The owners Holly and Ivan were extremely friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were exceptional, as there was a wide choice of cereals, fruit and yogurts, several hot dishes and finally toast and croissants with a variety of jams, etc... . Most of the food was locally sourced, which we liked. Our room was clean and bright and had a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. It was our fourth stay in this hotel, so I would definitely recommend it.

We found the beds a little too soft, although some may think they're OK. There is no car park but we managed to park right by the hotel each night.

Good location, clean and comfortable

Stayed in a room on 2nd floor, my husband had to use his inhaler as he has COPD. Should have asked for ground or first floor room!
