Occidental Jandía Royal Level - Adults Only

The Occidental jandia playa is very very dated. Needs lots of investment. We stayed in the Royal Level. The room number was 109. It was very dated. The corridor outside was the noisiest I have ver experienced in a hotel. It was long and the floor tiled. So when the staff were pushing their trollies along at 7 am it sounded like thunder! Also the air con was one of the poorest I have ever experienced. We just used the ceiling fan. On the plus side the food in the royal level restaurant was very good and the service was excellent. As for the a la carte restaurant don’t waste your time. The food is awful. We went to a Greek and Italian night. Both times the menu was poor and the food even worse. Location wise the hotel is at the end of the main resort and takes about 20 mins to walk to shops and restaurants. At the bottom of the hotel there is a so called shopping mall. However it is derelict and devoid of any life. Suffice to say we would not return to this hotel and suggest you give it a miss.

We said we would return after such a fantastic holiday in February and can honestly say we had a wonderful time again! This hotel is a little bit of paradise, perfect for you if you need peace and quiet

Have stayed here before but this time was even better, the food was excellent with plenty of choice to suit any ones taste ,the staff where all very helpful and friendly, The room was kept immaculate and we had fresh water and tea and coffee ,Milk etc. supplied daily. if you needed more you only had to ask..WIFI was rubbish but I believe they where having a new system installed so hopefully will be sorted when we return.

The royal level was amazing, i like to have quiet vacations and this was perfect. Every day it was calm and relaxing with no many people around in the pool or in the dining area. My room was on the bottom royal level and on the furthest corner so from my balcony I had a pleasant and close view of the jacuzzi pool which at the same time, allowed me some privacy. The royal level gave access to the Spa which I used nearly everyday and it was an extra that added value to the overall experience. The reception staff noticed that during my stay i had my birthday and sent to my room a bottle of Prosecco free of charge which it was a great surprise that I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the italian and spanish dinner on the other restaurant which was elegant and quiet. This was also included on my half board. The reception staff was able to find a space for me even with a late booking. The food was delicious and the service very good. The food in the dining area of royal level was also very good and had enough choices. The beach is right passed a natural reserve so has wild birds and it looks stunning and relaxing. The beach is long and not busy at all. The walk on the beach is relaxing and offer stunning views. It is a natural and uncontaminated place altough it was windy.

The wifi basically never worked for the majority of my vacation and it was an issue in every part of the hotel. The hotel is built on a hill so walking around is an exercise. However i think there is a service of golf cart for guests. The beach is close to the hotel with a short walk. Luckily there is a lift from the bottom of the hotel to the road leading to the beach so it is possible to skip some uphill walking. When i arrived with the bus, on the main road, i was not aware of the lift. I carried my luggage for quiet some time, uphill. Also the reception is near the royal level and on the top of the hotel so i had to walk uphill with luggages for quiet some time.

We stayed for my birthday after an absense of a year and were delighted to see improvements in and around the hotel. The quality and presentation of the food on offer in the Atlantico Buffet restaurant has improved vastly since last year. There was so much choice for all meals that sometimes we over indulged just to try everything. The staff, although some were new faces, were all pleasant and professional. Old members of staff greeted us like family. Star of the hotel is Marianna, Guest Relations Manager. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she goes above and beyond what you would expect. We have already booked another visit for next year!!!!! Can't wait!!

Recommended, very kind and pleasant place to spend your holidays with small children and a bit senior age

Royal Level is a perfect place to relax. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spotless , food is great, so much choice and it was good to see that they take care of people with food allergies with chefs cooking to their requirements when requested to. There are some tired looking areas within the hotel but staff do work hard and maintenance is always being done. We have visited this hotel many times and have seen lots of changes over the years some for the good some not so good, but one thing is guaranteed you will have a great holiday!

Our 14th visit was excellent yet again. The staff, all the way from the cleaning staff to management are excellent. The physical buildings are starting to look a bit tired and in need of some upgrade, but the quality of service and calm relaxed atmosphere certainly makes up for that. The Atlantico restaurant is the absolute jewel in the crown. Excellent food with brilliant service is second to none. We will be back.
